Say December 10 you get vaccinated, first inoculation then weeks later you get your second inoculation. When do you feel safe after the second one that your life will somewhat go back to normal? Maybe month, will it be six months, will be a year.
My biggest concern is this everybody’s waiting for the vaccine and they’re expecting that will change their life. Soon as they are vaccinated, will you Go on a cruise, out to dinner, shopping, visit family.

Think about all of the years that the flu vaccine has been out you have a small percentage are anaphylactic to the vaccine, a percentage that just don’t take the vaccine. A percentage that still gets the flu because the strain has changed. Then you have the percentage of deaths, even though they took the flu vaccine.

So after your vaccine, when will you change your lifestyle, that you have adapted for the last 6 months. Just curious as too how long before you feel the vaccine will keep you safe.

I may have missed what the two drug companies have said when it’s vaccine capabilities will be immediate, take weeks, months, to protect the 90-94% rate.

I think the question will be less of when I will feel comfortable returning to normal and more of when the Govt will allow us to return to normal.

Far too many people asking the Govt to interfere with our lives right now. Far too many Governors getting a taste of power who won't want to let it go. If keeping restrictions in place can save just one life.....

I will feel comfortable living my life without concern for my own safety when the vaccinations begin, probably even before getting one for myself. At the latest, I would feel comfortable a week after getting mine.

However, I will still feel concern for the safety of those around me and because of this, I will likely continue to wear a mask for a few months. I don't know if the vaccinations protect against spreading the virus or only becoming sick so since I might still be able to spread it I would continue to wear a mask until more of the population is safe.

When an authority issued a dire warning it meant something. Back then it did mean something.

Today fearmongering is the name of the game. Anything for control.

Constitutional rights don’t really exist during a pandemic or state of emergency. We are currently facing another full shut down as the numbers are going up. Everyone has let their guard down and just stopped caring about mankind.

Really? Constitutional rights don't really exist during a pandemic? Where is the state of emergency declared? Gimme a break.

State of emergencies were called back in March. It is an easy choice, rights or no rights you can be part of the solution or park of the problem. I for one would like this to be over and not go on forever but some think they are better than that and wish this to go on for years.

We live in FL. There is no state of emergency in FL. Even if you want it to be so. And you are a mind reader too! Amazing you know that some people wish this to go on for years.

Of course masks work. You are either not informed or in denial.

Masks are not binary - you can become infected while wearing a mask and many people who wear masks are not wearing them correctly. With one exception, the vast majority of people are wearing masks inside stores/facilities that I have been to.
Masks minimize the risk of contracting Covid. Masks do not prevent Covid transmission. That information has been very well relayed to the public.

It is up to each and every citizen of this United States to do their part to slow the spread of the virus. The way to do that is to wear a mask indoors in public spaces, social distance always, do not congregate in large crowds and wear a mask outdoors when social distancing can not be maintained.

Please take a look at this:

I believe your statement about "no state of emergency in FL" isn't accurate

I stand corrected. I was not aware it was extended. However, this order does not require a wearing of masks in public. Even if it did it would require a law passed by the FL legislature to make it a crime to not wear a mask to be enforceable. Private business is free to impose rules on their property which I agree is proper.

I also saw DeSantis today said there will be no shut downs in FL.

Bottom line for me? I Wear mask indoors when around people where required or When close to people. I avoid strange people like the have a plague. Which some may have? Who know where they been or in contact with?

This not going to be over for some time, having stupid games/events where people get crowded close together is stupid. It’s not going to stop till people stay away from each other.

Another super spreader right around corner, thanksgiving, what oxymoron. People traveling all over just starting it all over again. Bottom line stay away form people and stay home. I feel sorry for medical workers they not going catch break for quit some time and some have bailed out and can’t take it anymore.

Ronny D says a lot of things like when he laughed at NY and said "no problems here in FL" right before his first shutdown. Look what just happened in Iowa .... another sycophant who suddenly changed her mind, and Texas and North Dakota and Ohio and Indiana ...... wait till everyone comes down here for the holidays ...... better a mask than a respirator.

Feel sorry for the medical workers that have been furloughed since March, used all sick and vacation time, and have no ability to pay for healthcare.

In MI on Monday when Governor shut down again, what healthcare workers that were brought back mid June were furloughed again, this week. All over the US there are thousands of healthcare workers trying to find a way to put food on their table, just like all the people who have lost their jobs due to closure of their livelihood
