Like most of us, I do not like wearing a mask, but if wearing one will keep a toddler or frail elderly person from getting sick, I will wear the damn thing. I am not that selfish. I understand wearing a mask might be ineffectual, but still, I will wear it for the good of those around me
Thank you! Me too.

Not fun.
Same for me, wanted a boost prior to going on a cruise in a few weeks and had a strong response.

I switched from Pfizer to Moderna for booster 2 based on publications indicating they're may be some advantages doing so.

Pfizer, Moderna vaccines aren’t the same; study finds antibody differences | Ars Technica

"Both vaccines generate strong levels of neutralizing antibodies, which can bind to the virus and prevent it from infecting cells.

But according to the study, the vaccines generated different antibody profiles overall. Specifically, the antibody response to the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine skewed to a class of antibodies called IgG and IgM, which are often found in the blood. The

Moderna vaccine, meanwhile, generated relatively elevated levels of IgA antibodies, a class of antibodies generally found on mucosal surfaces, such as the respiratory tract—where SARS-CoV-2 infections begin.

Additionally, the Moderna vaccine spurred relatively higher levels of antibodies that activate immune cells called natural killer cells. It also generated higher levels of antibodies that activate immune cells called neutrophils to ingest and kill (phagocytize) invading germs."

A little off point here but I wonder how they knew to put 4 boxes on the card to check off from the start.

I had very mild side effects from the 4th shot a week or so ago. Two days ago I got a Shingles vaccine (first of two shots). Wow! It kicked my butt. Serious flu like symptoms, fever, tired (exhausted) and frequent retreats to the restroom.

And, I would do BOTH again without hesitation because the expert I count on is my PCP. She said take it and I do. If I didn't trust her, I would definitely find another doctor.

It is a conspiracy!

Oh, and my shot card has 8 lines on it, not check boxes, to hold date and vaccine ID.

Consider yourself lucky. Lots of not so lucky people said the same thing, then with the benefit of hindsight wished they had done things differently as they were being put on a ventilator : (

Totally agree with you too. I had my second Moderna booster shot today along with a very overdue Tetanus booster. I think I've had a total of two Tetanus shots in my life. Waiting for both arms to be sore at this point. I don't know which side I will be sleeping on tonight.

Hey Ho!
At this point, for all of us who are protected with the vaccines, this Covid thing is no more than a bad cold or a mild flu like syndrome at worst. Anyone hear of people dying of this latest Covid variant who are protected with vaccine shots and have a functioning immune system?

I know. Tell me about it. I've missed discussing vaccines and masks.

I hope it was sarcasm, but I fear it was not. Sadly.

Absolutely.

Just looked it up......over 2 BILLION people globally (yes, with a B) are fully vaccinated with Covid vaccines. I don't understand how anyone could possibly think these Covid vaccines are a bad thing. That is some pretty good data to go by.

I have had just the opposite experience. My first Moderna shot knocked me on my ass for just under 24 hours. My injection site was red and swollen for a week. My temp went up to 102.6 with all those wonderful symptoms of fever. After that.......nothing with subsequent shots. I just had my second booster today. I'm waiting to see if I have any reaction.
