I am also a bit confused on the rules. The OP is speaking of how great the Publix service is. I agree, Publix service is great. The OP is speaking of receiving the booster shot. That's great too. Some of us are not eligible for the booster yet. I believe that I have stayed on subject, but I am not sure and feel like one must walk on egg shells so that we are not punished. But, it's not my website so I try to stay within perimeters. Perhaps the moderator should put out a list of permissible subjects daily and the rest of us can discuss them carefully, less we deviate from the mandated subjects provided?

Hubby and I are going to be using Village Discount Pharmacy as a "back up" for Covid tests for traveling. They offer walk in service, do a rapid antigen test and give results in 10 minutes. We have an appointment with CVS at Pinellas for our tests but if that does not go as planned (such as CVS cancels our appointments), we will head right over to Village Discount Pharmacy.

Hubby and I had our Covid booster shots in Winn Dixie at LSL. We walked in, waited 10 minutes because the pharmacist was alone and got our booster shots (half dose). We we both received a $10 Winn Dixie coupon to be used in their store. Easy peasy.

Why didn't you verify the dose BEFORE the shot was put in your arm? Everyone should do that as a precaution. We all have to be our own advocates. I verified it was a half dose and then she showed me the Moderna vial and verified she drew up half dose. THEN she gave me the shot.

The booster gave me no reaction at all, unlike my second Moderna shot. The booster barely gave me a hint of soreness at the site of injection too.

Update on above post, got the shot yesterday afternoon. In and out in 5 minutes, very easy. Arm a little sore today, very slight headache, and energy level slightly less than normal. It’s no big deal, still heading out later today to swim my daily mile and a half, just might take an extra couple of minutes to complete. I instructed the woman administrating the shot to put it in my left arm so I can still throw the frisbee a couple hundred times with my right arm today for our dog. I simply can’t understand what all the to do is about getting vaccinated, it’s almost a non-event?

We got our boosters two days ago at Southern Trace Publix and it went smoothly. Sometimes they take walking and sometimes not. We had registered on line. Got our flu shot at Walmart as a walk-in and that went smoothly as well. Wife had no reaction to the booster but I’m feeling very tired and headachy. Remember to bring your vax card.

I'm still waiting to be eligible for the Pfizer 3rd shot. Checking with the RSV study folks to find out if I can get the flu shot yet, since I'm participating in that double-blind vaccine study for RSV. If I can, I'll get it at Winn Dixie since they're giving out a $10 gift card and I can pick up some ground beef while I'm there
