I asked in yesterday's thread if the OP who lives in the Village of Bonita backs on a Preserve.
I would still be interested to hear whether she backs on a Preserve or golf course.

If you do a little digging in her web-site you can find her house address and then Google it as well as put it on Mapquest. I do not want to post private information like her address on here. Click on whatever is colored and looks like it will lead to a home address. It is her choice to leave up access points to her web-site and through that to her home address.

Hey golfing eagles: Perhaps I am mistaken but in the long run it doesn't matter because of time place and affect.

I will take people at face value for purposes of feeding TOTV threads and respond in a good faith manner. What is written here does not affect me or mine. If it did then well that's another conversation. Whether its true this person lost a cat to a coyote or not does not affect me in the least. (ie have no skin in the game) However, if a poster tries to convince members that Canal Streets runs all the way to Ocala well that's a different animal (excuse the pun)

You know as a medical doctor that virtually the one time people are always going to be truthful is when the are admitted to the emergency room for emergency care...they are not going to lie for fear of not properly being treated.

I know a number of ways to test a person's veracity. My past occupational disciplines required it. Now that's when my Sherlock Holmes brows furrowed and I'd begin to eliminate the possibilities to focus on the probabilities. It always amazed me on how gifted people were of telling tales and even more so that they under any circumstances would never back away from their story even if you had evidence in hand of their mis-dealings

As to this OP again I say bravo on your creativity and imagination and if true sorry for your emotional trauma

This reminded of another song we use to play in the car whenever we were driving---A for Apple---aaa B for Baby ba ba ba. No wonder I'm a little left of center. It's those damn songs. They're still in my head.

Both of the houses where I have heard that cats were taken here in Lynnhaven seem to be on Saluda Street. They are not right together but a few houses apart. The other Saluda Street cat snatched was about two months or so ago. Maybe in August?
Tal, are all these cat snatchings in the online newspaper or are they rumours?
My heart goes out to anyone who has lost a pet.
It was reported that the man who lost his unleashed dog saw a coyote.
Could the cat snatchings be a feral dog, a bob cat or even a possum? We have some large possums in our back yard.

A possum can tear thru the screen and drag a cat away????

Neighbors have been reporting sighting coyotes all around Bonnybrook neighbors and hence one can conclude Lynnhaven.

One neighbor told me she often sighted an alligator trying to get into her lanai at get at her small dog.

I suspect the OP may be upset at the number of doubting Thomas's and just decided to abandoned her interest in responding...and it is a fair and justifiable response

I think the problem comes in when someone posts not long ago saying this happened to them in January, then makes another similar post that it just happened to them in October.
And, of course, never comes back to answer any questions about it.
Creative imagination ? Definitely not what I would call it.

I'm wondering whether the villain in the cat snatchings could be a feral dog, a gator, a bob cat or even a possum? We have some large possums in our back yard.
Had large possums up north. They could tear through screens, soffits, and siding easily. And once they got into the attic it was home. But I hever heard of them carrying off a dog or cat.

There are so many inconsistencies to this tale that I'm sure by Halloween it will have morphed into a ghost story.

I think responses on today's thread are somewhat kinder.
It is a huge co-incidence to lose one cat from a lanai in January and a second cat in October, but co-incidences do happen.
I think that prompted some of the questions.

Oh I don't know. Sorry, but I think OP saw the posts.

If lightening did strike twice, don't you think the OP would have said something about having to endure this "heartbreak" twice in one year? Raise your hands if you would have not mentioned the first event while you were issuing a "warning" to folks.

There's doubting Thomas, and Peeping Tom and Tom's have been accused of stealing a pig and running away.

Who says Doubting Fred? no one
Who says Peeping Arnold? no one
