Thought Celts played Sunday - Oh well, 1 down to Clev. I guess I'm actually free to start solving world issues after all!

One thing I love about TV is the freedom to be carefree and silly!

I have Barefoot on the driver's side of my golf cart cuz Fireboy didn't put my name on his motorcycle.

My name on driver side, wife's name on passenger side, and girlfriend in the middle.

Default E-How even mentions putting names on your golf cart in how to personalize it.

http://www.ehow.com/how_2250214_pers...golf-cart.html

I wonder how many Tiger Woods fans in the Villages have removed his name from their golf cart if that was one of the ways they personalized it?

I suppose that some of the male names I have seen on the driver's side could be females as well as males. Not Bob, Chuck, John, Dick, Larry, Mitch, Ron, George, Robert, Rick, Brad, Gary, Clint; but names like Jan, Pat, Sam, Connie, Lonnie, Ronnie, Charlie, Tracey, Travis, or Taylor could be female or male first names.

We have neighbors whose lamp post sign is "General and Andy"; have no idea of the genders?

General is a great name for a dog!

I noticed that the Villages phone book lists the male first and then the female. Or, it looks that way from most of the names from which a certain gender is a strong possibility-- Bob and Sissy; Dick and Dora; Bob and Carol; Edmond and Carol Ann; Normand and Georgie; Thomas and Ardis; Richard and Joy; Al and Carol; Frederick and Patricia; Robert and Suzanne; Raymond and Jane; Norman and Lorraine; John and Sue; Joe and Barbara; Robert and Georgia; Dennis and Linda; Peter and Margaret, etc.

You and I are both old enough to remember (and, possibly, still live by) the convention that the male was always listed first! So, that doesn't surprise me!

As an extension to this discussion, does any one have more than their own and their pets' names on their cart(s)? Mine bears "La sottise d'Etienne" on the left and "Steve's Folly" on the right. These follow my penchant for naming my vehicles. As you may gather, the right translates the left.

If your dog or cat is like Marley, maybe he/she is your folly?? Remember Marley from the book and movie of the same name -- Marley and Me? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marley_&_Me That dog continously got into trouble like a canine Dennis the Menace.

Default Now here's a golf cart that you would not need to personalize!

http://stylecrave.com/2010-03-31/the...nuit-golf-car/

I would not like you would need your name on this one even if it seems quite extravagant. It is the $52,000 Garia Edition Soleil de Minuit Golf Car. The little refigerator is neat though.

Default 99 responses in the poll so far.

Hopefully, we will get some more. Male name on the driver's side is winning but not by as much as I thought it would.

Default A solar powered golf cart probably would not need to be personalized.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19417205/

I have never seen one of these solar powered golf carts in TV but then again I do not golf so I guess my potential exposure to them is severely limited.

The hubs name is on driver's side and mine on passenger's side. We also have our college decals on the cart! We refuse to grow up!

Or, license plates that have their alma maters and/or favorite teams (college, pro, high school) on them.

Go Buffalo.
