You clearly need to buy a home in a rural area with no neighbors close by!

Easement/right of way only provides acces to essential service employees to repair or maintain said equipment. It does NOT apply to the general public! You can still be charged with trespassing. Be a good neighbor. Keep off the grass! |

By the way, the easement is NOT owned by TV. It is private property. The easement simply grants utility and essential service worker access to repair or service equipment. Dog walkers are tresspassers. |

Most dogs need to walk and smell for “the right place to go”. I totally understand that people don’t want dogs to go on their lawns. I have a dog and as soon as I see him squatting, I put the bag under his butt and catch it before it hits the ground. It’s no big deal and it’s easier then picking it up afterward. In NY it can get very ugly if your dog goes on someone’s lawn. This method keeps everyone happy.

You are wrong on that fact. The “easements” that are marked on your plat map are for the utilities companies to have access to that part of YOUR PROPERTY to do maintenance and service on their underground lines and equipment. It is limited and specific and does not in any way imply that this part of the property does not belong to the homeowner. You need to familiarize yourself with easement rights. It does not extend to the general public, it is not owned by The Villages. If you take your dog onto any part of your neighbors yard to do it’s business you are trespassing.

Guess I’m a little confused. If a dog poops on your lawn & they pick it up, how would you know if a dog pooped on your lawn? We don’t live there anymore but I really think pet owners are very polite & pick up after their pet. One time in 8 yrs. I noticed poop in my yard. The next day it was gone. So I don’t understand your complaint!

Consideration might be given to the fact that intestines work similarly and that a little bit of exercise might help them work.

Another thought Is pulling a pet animal along while the pet is trying to poop just looks wrong. Other thoughts include considerations for constipation and diarrhea issues. How many dog owners are experts in bowel and bladder pet functions. It would be good to hear from a couple of Veterinarians to help with this recurring Dog Poop concern.

All those coyote's, squirrels, gopher turtles, hawks, owls, deer, possums, bears, mountain lions - all pooping on our yard, and NO one to complain about it too. Much better here, we can come on here and complain. And at least the alligators, bears, possums, birds, raccoons here never poop on our grass! |

Pooping on command in Villa housing would be an interesting thing to teach a dog. Usually dogs need to walk to get their bowels moving but if they will do it on command... great!. Poop bags, a civil "dooty"... they do contribute to climate change right?... so there's that.

As long as owner cleans up I feel there is nothing to gripe about. Our dog is kept on our property but when passing pups use our lawn it is no big deal the owner always picks it up. Also remember that is not really your lawn that’s being pooped on. Your property line does not go all the way to street, your lot line is 12-15 feet back. So for the most part the pooper is using public property. So maybe you can call the police and complain that a dog pooped on public easement and the owner picked it up. I would love to hear their response.
