Most of my neighbors, including pet owners, agree that this seems to be mostly a Villages phenomenon. Where we all came from, in different parts of the country and a few from other countries, dogs /usually/ did their thing on their owner's lawn and THEN went for walks. A dog pooping on a neighbor's lawn was considered an accident, and cleaned up. No one took their dogs for walk -specifically- to get them to poop on someone else's lawn. It just didn't happen.

It’s not so much the poop and clean up (which is appreciated) as it is the urine left behind if the dog continuously returns to that spot.

As a dog owner, I can’t see anything wrong with dogs pooping on the street when you pick up. That is so much more considerate than letting them on other people’s lawn. I’m under the impression that it has to do with manners in general. Those “entitled” owners and those who can’t keep a dog off lawns need to live among like minded people.

Agree! The ultimate in showing contempt for their neighbors by using their neighbors yards as pet potties. If they feel contempt in return from their victims, they are reaping what they have sown and deservedly so.

Didn’t anyone get the memo, Every corner lot is a dog park. Say there are 10 dogs that get walked twice a day. Each dog uses that lot at least once, maybe twice. That’s only 10-15 times a day that corner lot gets used. Some may pick up, some not so much. Then some dog owners travel to postal station, which is the second dog park in each neighborhood.

Our last dog was a Belgian Shepherd, retired LEO, she was an amazing dog, however walking in her territory was not allowed in her opinion. She however was so well trained on command would stop and drop. But Continued to growl at you, which was daunting for many, as they passed by her. She would have love it here, the agility park would have been her favorite, sadly she passed away, from old age.

I would highly advise against moving here. If you look around you will see all the lawns are either dead or covered in poop so you can't even see any grass... Ahem...

One thing is sure, there will be at least thread per month (or more) complaining about this world ending problem.

I walk my nieces dog all the time in Boston he goes on the sidewalk , even where there is a little grass he prefers the pavement just like all the other dogs he knows, FYI he doesn’t need pads in the summer or be carried by his owner because the pavement is to hot and he doesn’t need a sweater in the winter , he’s 14 and he likes living like a real dog , Go Pats
