Default Don't try to make me a fool...

Why does Winn Dixie try to make fools of we Villagers. I love fresh pineapple and have never had to pay more than $3.00 for a pineapple. I walk into Winn Dixie today and see a sign, Pineapples, buy one get one free, save $4.99. I hate it that these stores think we Villagers are too stupid to realize that they simply doubled the price and want us to believe their pineapples are normally $4.99. Go to Winn Dixie after next week and you will be able to purchase a pineapple for less than $3.00 or maybe less.

It is just a marketing approach.

I asked the produce manager a day or two after the last BOGO why the price was back up to $4.99. He said the sale was to clear out the inventory for a new shipment coming on. Regular is $4.99......
BTW the cost at Publix is $4.99.

WD has Hebrew National hot dogs, BOGO $6. That's a great price for the best hot dog anyone makes. I bought 2 packs tonight. I'll eat them for the next week or so, here and there. And when I'm done I won't crave them again until the next BOGO in about 4 months.

Spend the extra dollar for martins potato hot dog rolls too. Potato rolls stay fresh for a hundred and thirty eight days. Only God knows why.

Shop at Aldi’s where $100 buys you $175 in food. I shop Publix BOGO’s only, $40 buys you $80 in food.

I bought the same pineapples at Aldi's last week for .99 cents and they were great. Aldi's recent everyday price for pineapples is 1.29. I'll never understand why people frequent a Winn/Dixie store and gladly pay more than triple for exactly the same item???

Your "everyday $1.29" pineapple price at Aldi's (466A) is $2.29 today as of ~3:30PM. Fruit and vegetable prices ALWAYS vary, sometimes even daily depending on how long a shelf life they have left before they have to take them off sale.

It is another said, If you do not like the price you are free to not buy the item! Not too long ago the price of eggs was crazy, we did not buy eggs and ate something else. Use the power of the consumer and let a company eat product and prices will come down.

It could also be called a deceptive and unfair trade practice, similar to Publix.
