8. Organize an intervention, make sure to have it early in the morning when he is likely to be semi sober (don't serve mimosas)!

9. Ask the liquor stores to charge him more for the beer, so he runs out of money sooner in life (if he can't afford beer, he will drink less)!

For the love of god, this could save MANY lives!!
I also agree this is serious. I don't think 6-9 were meant to be advice. Thus not included in my summary. And as for God - I already love him/her.

number 9 ? The price of booze has not gone up since I quit 18 years ago. You can still buy a 1.75 of cheap vodka for $10. How about this one... talk to your other neighbors..maybe that will help. Over 60% of fatal accidents here are alcohol involved..

Ever observe trash when set out? There are lots of drunks? Anybody that has to have alcohol ever day got problem. This includes wino's even though they have the cleanest vanesNot just here but everywhere. Changes are at least 30% All people you pass walking, driving, even working with(especially golf drivers carts) are impaired no matter what time of day. Now do we want to add how many on drugs including prescribed?

I disagree with your premise. You are certainly free to avoid alcohol and I respect your position on that. However, there are medically proven benefits to drinking some alcohol and wine. Eg, the heart benefit of one to two glasses of red wine per day. Everything in moderation my friend.

With a third of the population impaired it must be a scary world.

Are you saying that 30% of Villages retirees are impaired no matter what time of day?

Just a observation, not flaming anyone.
Been here 8 years and never played with a golfer that was drinking or drunk
Or had a cooler.

I'm not saying it's wrong, but the developer facilitates and profits from the whole drunken, live entertainment, with two for one drinks in town squares that mostly require driving to get there. Personally, I think the developer has a greater plan for us, and I will trust in him to deliver us to the final solution.
