Default Dry Throat

Ever since moving here from NJ I have experienced a very dry throat every night. Sometimes it is so bad that I wake up with my mouth glued together. I do not breathe through my mouth as I use a C-PAP machine and tested using a chin strap. My wife also complains of dry mouth. At first I thought it was house specific but recent lifestyle visitors also mentioned the need to keep a bottle of water on their night stand.

Anyone else experience this and does anyone know why?

Default more water !

My guess is the air-conditioning which extracts moisture from the indoor air (?) Anyway ~ increasing your daily intake of water would probably be beneficial for multiple reasons

Coming from a dry climate, I have always keep a glass or bottle of water on my nightstand. It is as Coney said, the air indoors is very dry with the fan and air conditioning running. Right now, we've even got lower outdoor humidity. In addition to mouths feeling quite dry, nasal passages can dry out, also. A friend suggested a thin layer of Vaseline around the lower passages of your nose to help with that. It works.

Check with the supplier.......I worked for Lin..... for a number of years and you might need humidity added to your c-pap/bi-pap.
It might be an easy fix......explain the problem to the supplier first.

I had the same thing until I raised the humidity level on the dehumidifier. It is much better now.

If you have o-2 bled in to your c-pap....do not use chap stick! It is petroleum based and can ignite when mixed with oxygen.
If you do not have oxygen bled in then you should be ok.

Hey Vinny.........We are from Jersey too and are P.T's in Pennecamp. We've found that our tear ducts dry up everytime it's time to go home to NJ. Probably from all the crying when we leave
