I'm a night owl also. I enjoy taking a walk late at night when everyone else is asleep. I like to stay up late reading ... all the stuff I couldn't do when I had to get up early and go to work. I vowed that once I retired, I'd never set an alarm clock again. I often get up early, but I'm useless for the first few hours. I do find that Villages activities are geared for morning people.

I'm the night owl and DH is the early bird.
Most couples we know are opposites like this.
How about you?

I'm still working (three days a week), and without a set schedule. On my work day I'm up at 5:10 and to bed around 10:30ish. If I happen to be off the next morning, I sit in front of the tv and usually unwind and watch a sitcom, with the tablet on my lap. I'll head to bed around midnight and sleep until 8-8:30, or when the dog comes in and licks my face! (My day off alarm clock).

Default Definitely not a morning person

After 41 years of having to be up by 6 to go to work, I am thrilled that I can sleep until 8:30 am. I go to bed around midnight. I am so happy to get needed rest. Yeah!!!!!!

What Bare said! I love the night, love to walk the dog after dark, love the peace and quiet. I try to get to bed by midnight, but sometimes it's 1:00 or 2:00. I love the morning too, and I'm up by 7:30, but I absolutely can't get beyond coffee and the laptop till (preferably) after 10 a.m.

I envy you morning people. I think you get a lot more done than I do!

It's 1:30 AM. Does that answer the question?

Me too! I am in Seattle at present so some may not realize when I post that I am doing so in the middle of the night. Now you know why my posts sound so dumb. When I sleep it is for like 10 hours but some days I can't sleep at all, that's when I read every post on TOTV as a break from my kindle.

Also Patfla06.... Hubby and I are like you said opposites. He is up at 4:30 when he sleeps in and will fall asleep in his chair if up past 11pm. Quite often he is at the starter shack when it opens on days he plays golf and we live 30 min from the course. Can't wait to see what happens in retirement next month if he will change after all these years.

I like to stay up late and get up early. My whole life I have really only needed 6 hours of sleep or less. Lucky I guess.
