Nothing happens without a catalyst of some kind. Personally, I see the it more an issue of a mindset of self entitlement and thinking that they can use certain things (yard) that they (consciously or subconsciously) know is wrong.

Yes!

I tend to agree with the poster of the above quote. Undoubtedly there are some folks here in TV who would think nothing of doing such a thing (or in some cases even think it was funny) but overall I think the odds of this happening maliciously are pretty low. Fell off a golf cart--carrying two bags and dropped one accidentally--put it down to do something with Rover's leash, answer the phone, or whatever and then just forgot to pick it up--and so on. Any one of a number of such scenarios are probably more likely than a malicious or childish someone doing the deed.

If it repeats--then come up with a plan of action. Otherwise just drop it. Life is too short.
Maliciousness? More likely to be simple minded self entitlement. You know, "it's all about me and my dog".

They picked up poop, put it in a bag. Then they left it in someone's driveway? Considerate? Not very! Knew that owner would likely have to dispose of it. Self-entitled jerks is more like it. For those that don't pick up, just pond scum mentality!

Not if they planned on picking it up ten minutes later. Not if they accidentally dropped it and did not know they had.

Too quick to judge, too slow to consider all possibilities. That's the TOTV way.

How does something get "accidentally" dropped on someone's driveway? On the street I can believe, but ON a driveway!

"Let Me Start Off With Two Words" - it just doesn't!

The bride and I have been retired for over 30 years and we both admit that there are days we are not as sharp as we used to be...... but I don't ever recall coming home and saying "Now what did I do with that bag of crap I had?"

I think "self-entitled jerks" sums it up pretty well.

No one's ever left a bag of poop at the edge of my driveway. But if they did and I saw who it was, I'd absolutely pick the bag up and deliver it to THEIR driveway.

Because unlike them, I'm not somehow perfectly capable of holding a leash to walk my 30-pound dog, but tragically incapable of holding the end of a baggy with less than half a pound of crap in it.

In addition, there is no "on the way back" that I've seen. Most people start at their house, walk in one direction, and go around the block, ending back at their house. They don't take a second trip to pick up their bags of crap.

Real easy solution. Dog owners should teach their dogs to dump in their own yard and THEN take them for a walk. I've done it with many dogs in the past. Sure, take a bag just in case your dog has an accidental discharge. For crying out loud, it's not rocket science. If you can't teach your pet a simple thing like that, should you really own a pet? C'mon folks. And if you are too lazy to carry a tiny bag of crap home with you, then you need help too.

Hmmm, did you ever sit down on the hopper and try to pinch out a loaf to no avail, and then go for a walk and all of a sudden, rutt roo rastro, here it comes? $hi! Happens!

Our dogs were trained to only walk on road or sidewalks on short leash.
First I have no idea what any dog has deposited on a lawn.
Second I have no idea the chemicals the owner has used on their own property, nor do I care. It’s their lawn, not mine to abuse or have zero respect for their property.

Our dogs were trained with commands, never leaving our yard, for up to 30 minutes before a walk for exercise. All wore booties in the summer and days of snow, because salt is not their friend.
We had Belgian Shepherds, both came with LEO training, but didn’t serve. But they made the best kids guardians one could ever wish for. After 17 years back to back best companions ever, we chose not to take another.

They step onto the driveway because a car is passing. The dog jumps at the car and the owner drops the bag. Because he is wrestling the leash, he does not notice the drop. Off he goes to finish his walk.

Did that happen. I don't know. I just suggest that assuming someone did it on purpose and is a jerk would not be my default. For some it is, I see.

Exactly!

I wouldn't jump for joy if I found a bag of poop, but the effort it would take to rectify this situation might involve using one or two of my collection of 500 plastic grocery bags, dropping the poop bag into those one or two grocery bags, and then into one of my garbage bags where it will sit for a maximum of 3 days before garbage pick up.
Maybe 60 seconds of effort if I'm moving particularly slowly that morning.

Hardly worth the "agita" generated in this thread.
