It appears from most of the responses here that as a single I would not have much trouble getting a tee time even in March if I used a computer to access the tee time system. I notice that the tee time system requires a user ID and a PIN. The owner I am renting from is arranging for me to pick up a guest pass to use while I am there. Would the user ID and PIN be provided with that package? If not, how would I go about getting those so that I can use the tee time system?

I know a logical answer would be for me to contact the owner but he doesn't play golf and knows nothing about the tee time system.

Thanks again for any help/suggestions..........Wilt

I play exec courses every day at least once per day, you can book mutiple times per day (using open tee times within the next three days) as long as there is 3 hours between the tee times. I have golfed as many as three times in the same day....golfnut

Make sure that you get an ID card and not a guest pass. With a guest pass you will need to pay $10 to play the execs each time. You will need to pay a one time fee of $50 to transfer the ID cards, but then you won't be charged to play the execs (if you walk.) With the ID card you will get an ID number and a PIN that you can use with the tee time system -- either phone or online.

The first year when we rented, I brought a laptop with me and we signed up for a 1 month villages.net account that you can dial into for the online tee time system. As rekop said, however, the phone system is supposed to be easy to use.

Good luck. We'll be there in March too. Hope to see you at Crispers for the monthly TOTV gathering.

I play 2 or 3 times during the week on executive courses and 1 round of 18 at one of the club courses on the weekend, weather permitting. Rarely have I ever had a problem with reservations. Sometimes I call and sometimes I make them on line.

My wife plays 1 or 2 early morning foursome rounds of 18 a week mostly at the NL Country Club. She makes reservations in advance while at the club. Rarely does she have problems making a reservation.

I have not encountered problems with limits or finding a course to play. You got to love TV!!!!

Default One month Villages.net membership?

A few post back "Another Linda" stated that she signed up for a one month villages.net account (membership).

Is it still possible to purchase the online membership for just one month?

We were down for our homes closing in January and were unable to secrue even one tee time in the week that we were there (by telephone system).

We will be back for 2 weeks in mid February and hope to golf. Maybe our chances of getting tee times will be better if we use the online tee time system.
Our only problem is that we can not sign up for a full year account and only need it for two weeks in February.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

The best thing to do is start calling the golf courses and ask for any open tee times available. They will always have someone cancel for that day.

My wife and I rented a house in the villages for a week in December. I went to the villages net. store and paid for one month. The house I rented had interent access and a computer for renters. We found the fee (5.50 at that time) well worth the money. I called and cancelled my account when we left.
