-play loud music with ear buds to calgon your fellow friends out the picture
-face time friends on speaker to be as obnoxious as possible(as shown on real housewives)
-have the largest bum in spandex - bakery at publix is wonderful for achieving this.
-tons of flashing lights

All cyclist approved as long as you have either a pink or green neon shirt which must be worn at all times outside of your undergarments

Hope this helps- just back from the club - they had wonderful bagels and cream cheese.

Yesterday i viewed a golf cart passing a biker going downhill to a tunnel with no way out for the on coming traffic.
There was 10 feet walls on bothsides.
The idiot almost hit head on coming traffic coming out of the tunnel, the oncoming traffic stopped short of the stop line and barely missed this idiot.
Twice I've seen this happen this week, now all the anti bike people try to justify this action.
I call it entitlement AHOLE Person!

Clearly a stupid move.

In what area did you see this happen in the last few days? In over two years I haven't seen this once so apparently I'm looking in the wrong place.

The purpose of riding in the center, two or three abreast is to 'take the lane'. Why would someone do this bike haters ask?

Taking the width of a cart forces all who want to pass to do so safely. "Sharing a lane" with a cyclist is not safe for the cyclist because given any unexpected action by the passing cart will instinctively cause the offending cart to veer right, into the cyclist.

As far as 'slowing down' a cart driver anything can slow a cart down, another cart, a loaded four person cart, walkers, dog walkers.

There is no reason any cart driver should lane share. Every cyclist should be passed by entering the opposite lane, regardless of the cyclists position in the lane. If there is not enough room to perform a proper pass then it is unsafe to do so.

Replace MMP with public road, carts for car and bicycle (ebike or bike) with motorcycle and you will know exactly what is expected of you.

I ride on the residential streets now. But about 5 years ago, I would ride on the MMPs. I never expected that I could count on golf cart drivers looking out for my best interests 100% of the time. So, I would turn my head or look in a bike mirror to see the golf cars that were coming up behind me. Then I would stop the bike and move to about 1 foot on the grass. I tend to have a lot of respect for animals, golf carts, and other vehicles that are bigger than me. When I am driving a car I like to respect bikes, walkers, and golf carts. When I was younger and living out in the western US, I would ride a mountain bike. And I would ride on trails or areas where there were no others around. I would enjoy the quiet and nature and the exercise, of course.
That is just basically my attitude. I am retired now, so I don't normally need to be anywhere in a hurry. Bikers riding in the middle of an MMP lane and DARING golf cart drivers to pass them seem unrealistic and belligerent to me. And golf cart drivers wanting to PUSH the bikers off of their self-proclaimed MMP seem DANGEROUSLY belligerent to me. If a friend told me that they drove their golf cart like that just to save some time and take out their aggressions, I would cease to associate with them! That's my opinion.

This happened to a friend and me a few years ago as we were bicycling down the long tunnel entrance on the multimodal path on Morse Boulevard north of Soaring Eagle. There are very high cement walls on both sides. I was behind my friend when a golf carter passed us going down the entrance ramp, I yelled at my friend to watch out as I knew if another golf cart came out of the tunnel this crazy cart driver would save herself by taking out my friend. Too much! There was no where for anyone to go if a cart had come out of the tunnel. The cart driver just got by my friend at the entrance to the actual tunnel. If my buddy hadn’t slowed down the cart would have hit him. Extremely reckless, almost unbelievable behavior. Some people do not like to slow down and see walkers and bicyclists as nuisances and speed up to pass them no matter how dangerous the situation with total disregard for their safety.

You can't fix stupid.
Someone told me one day this is a golf community and the golfers RULE.
Hmmmm i wonder if this is where the bad behavior comes from.
One day Karma will visit them and it won't be pretty. Alot of NY bikers here that won't put up with that reckless behavior!
HMMMMM could be that reckless behavior come from NJ and NYers but i dont know if thats true, they do have respect for each other i hope?
Past post said NJ/NYers behave badly, HMMMMMM wonder why they think that?
