I read that they stopped building on those lots.

I mean no disrespect to those who have invested their hard earned money to buy on the other side of the turnpike. All as I am saying is that they deserve their own town or towns and the same level of amenities that exists on the other side of the turnpike.
We that are south of the turnpike have the same level of amenities plus many more that are not available in the old sections of TV. We have or will have total connection to the north via Megisson Road, Morse Road, soon to be built Buena Vista extension, and 301. We are less than 10 minutes to Brownwood, the new 24 hour emergency center, and under constructions 400 acre new hospital being built at the Turnpike and 470. Also less than 10 minutes to The Villages Specialty Doctors, the new Primary care facility, the new hotel and spa as well as 3 championship golf courses in the works. Lots and lots of stuff happening down here including Edna's and the new Sawgrass entertainment/shopping facility. In addition to all of this we have peace, quiet, and mother nature all around us. Great place to live.

I see now that all of the building/home sites are in either Hawkins or St. Catherine.
I'm guessing these areas will be built out by then.
Does anyone have any guesses where they will be building homes six months from now?
Near lakeland.

Amenities south of 44 are slightly different and maybe more expansive than those north of 466A, depends on the lifestyle you are looking for. When the Water Lily bridge is open you will have the options of accessing both the older amenities and the newer amenities. We live between 466A and 44 and will drive south to take advantage of the walking and nature trails, putt and play, RC options etc. There will be more.

Thanks to everyone for all of the comments. I saw these new sites and they would be perfect for us if we were ready to start building. Problem is I wont be able to retire until the end of the year. I'm hoping to time having our new house built about the same time.

My guess is that they will continue to build south of St Catherine, along the turnpike.
Concerns there are noise..

We have ruled out a preowned home.
We already have decided on many must haves and have picked out the Bridgeport floor plan with several changes.

Thanks again.

They have purchased ranches all the way down to Bushnell. Who knows, by now they may even own the Webster Flea sight.

Don't worry about the turnpike, there are so many villages in the works you will be able to choose one that is not near it. One note, when they release lots they sell out usually in one day with the more desirable ones having a waiting list. I would suggest you start working with a good Village Agent to get started with your search. I would highly recommend Beth Pope who is one of their top sellers and really knows what is going on down here, she has a team that consists of her husband Todd and daughter Kelley, you get triple the knowledge for the price of one. Give her a shout 352-552-1511, you won't regret it.

Welcome and try to ignore the silly comments. Everyone has an opinion. I live in Marsh Bend and love it-its pretty there. Depends on what lifestyle you want. You can purchase a lot and then do the build design later-I think its a year to begin building? Someone will know. Best of luck.

I thought you had two or three months after putting $$ down on a lot, until you had to do design and begin construction. Can anyone confirm the time frame?
