Forgot to have a garage wash basin installed when we built. Was wondering if anyone has had one installed, who they used and approximate cost. I installed my own in New York but without access to drain pipe in garage, I really don’t know where to start.

I believe it would have to drain into the sanitary sewer as the storm drains go into the ponds and they would not want to take a chance with chemicals being washed off the garage floor. I really don't know anyone that has one where I live.

You do not mention the type of house, but in ours (a Gardenia) there is a shared wall with the laundry room, so access to a drain is just beyond the dryer as well as hot and cold water. It may be possible (depends on building code) to run these pipes in the surface of the wall behind the dryer and tapping in to the supplies and drain for the washer. In this case the cost should be fairly low, if you have to go inside the walls I would expect a much higher cost.

Sounds like whole lot work it you don’t have access to plumbing and drain pipes. IMO not worth it. I would just use a bucket.

Thanks all. I have a Mossy Oak and it doesn’t back to the laundry room. I think the bucket option wins.

While briefly entertaining the idea of adding a summer kitchen to our lanai a few years ago, we learned that lacking access to a drain line for the sink portion, we had the option of pumping the drain line up and out. Based on the cost, as well as adding the hot and cold line, we decided it was simply not a cost effective idea.

I looked at the floor plan listed online as a Village Mossy Oak and there is a bathroom sink on the inside of the garage wall you would put the utility sink on. That is a slam dunk . If the plan I saw is correct it couldn’t be any easier

In the basic design of TV homes you get either a sink in the laundry room or garage, but not both. Unless you specifically add one in your design.

I believe OP is talking about a "slop-sink" not a wash basin pit for the floor or car runoff.
BUT that is not actually clear.

Thanks. Looked at my plan since my house is flipped (Garage on other side). It appears that I’ll be able to connect to bathroom sink. Thanks so much!
