Well, that is a long way from Pennecamp. I bought a nice steel gas can and when my SUV gets low I kill two birds at a time. My can doesn't smell up my SUV either.

You misunderstood. I meant you've got to be kidding about giving the guy a break that over charges by 30 cents so he can make a profit. If he lowered his prices he probably would do more volume and make a profit the honest way instead of gouging.

And the problem is? Take a look all around you. There are hundreds and thousands of small engines that require gas tanks to keep them going. Think about that when you ride by a construction site or a landscaping business or maybe the equipment that is used to the beautify our golf courses.
By the way, my gas container has all the latest safety equipment.

Be aware, you are probably surrounded by gas cans, even north of 466.

Thanks for calming it down alittle. I thought you "EXPLODED" there for a minute. Did you click the site and read it?

I have gas can envy - mine is a 1949 model with curb feelers.

Anybody who cuts their own lawn or has a gas golf cart probably has a container of gas in their garage. We drive around with a 20 gallon bomb under our cars. It's all a matter of taking the proper precautions.

BTW I chuckled at one of the causes of burns in your article was suicide! I can think of many, many less painful ways to do it.

Finally ,some levity after the hysteria. Is there a phobia for fear of gas cans? I was going to post a number for the local mental health clinic.

Thanks Bill and Champion 6 for the web sites. I'll check them out.

Default Colony Shell

Just went to Colony Shell 466A. His price was $3.39 which is only .06 higher then the stations on 466 including the new Murphy Gas.

I also use gasbuddy.com but I also figure how much gas I would use getting to and from the gas station with the lowest price to see if it is cost effectve.

Default How about McDonalds and Publix?

How many more villages have to be built across the street for them to provide normal gas prices? Sanibel is well underway with many more villages to follow. Going out and get my steel five gallon container. To me it is a matter of principle more than money.
Question: should McDonalds, Beef O Bradys, Publics, etc. all at Colony also charge more? I don't think so.
PS: I did not read all the previous post so sorry if this has already been addressed

Default Shell prices

I've found that Shell charges more than other stations most everywhere, not just at TV. Constant changes in gas prices is enough to drive us all a little crazy. . . it does me!
