The other poster said that they need to hold the card 4 to 5 inches from the reader for it to work. If that is correct, then the card is obviously defective, unless they are not holding it correctly.

Truth is, rolling down the window and holding the card up to the reader is no problem imo. Both cards are on their own keyring. At least we don't have to punch in a code on a keypad. |

Do a search for "gate chip" on this forum. There are several people who will come to your hose, clone your card onto a new chip and stick it inside your mirror housing.

I have put my card in the drivers side mirror compartment. Just some Velcro.
Especially useful on rainy days or no attendant, or both. |
