For all: The PWAC meeting at 8:30 this morning at Seabreeze would be an excellent place to ask about this.

This is what the long range (active tag) looks like in action. I have been using it since Aug 2022

Is that the long range tag which will be used with the long range readers that have not yet been installed? Or, is it some sort of tag amplification system that works with the existing readers?

Do you have a manufacturer and model for that tag or a link for more information!

Maybe there is an update but I didn't see any budget for long range readers in the SOW?

I don't believe this is the one the District might sell. I talked to Ellie about this device several years ago to decide on mirror chips for my situation. However, this long range device he is selling does work well and is another good option. He sells both devices and is in agreement with me that they make gate entry easier and safer.

It wouldn't be in the SOW. This work simply brings the hardware up to date to run the updated software. A consequence of the updated software is the ability to install additional readers. A subsequent contract will be necessary to purchase and add the long range readers. At that point, the long range devices will be available for purchase.

Does Amazon sell these long range devices that will work with the current system?

I personally clone the cards for friends and neighbors to give them out as I like using them. The longer range card costs more and is not required for most car applications. If you are interested, please give Ellie a call as he has been selling and installing them for a long time.

We do not have a device on our car. I slide the gate card against the window until the sensor reads it. As I pull into the gate, I have the car/side mirror near the sensor, I hold my gate card against the closed window as I SLOWLY pull through, align the card with the sensor sliding it back and forth, watch the red button light change to green and the gate opens. Works on most gates but not all. Very handy on a rainy day.

Do you have a link or name for the RFID reader and chip set you used. Also anyone know the type of RFID signal out TV cards are T5577?
