Try Garrett at the Bascom Agency. His quote last week was substantially better than what I got from The Villages agency.

I added flood insurance at least 5 years ago. Kin insurance offers it as an option.

Maybe some employees chiming in...

Similar experience as you, plus return phone calls and followup emails never happened half the time.

We had the same issue with TV insurance. They either don't answer the phone or you get a request to leave a message. If they even bother to respond it will be at least 24 hours if not 48 before you will hear back from them. I need an agent that either answers their phone or calls me back in a timely manner. Imagine if you had an emergency! We are now with AAA (Patti Dudas) With TV Ins.they have so much new business they don't really have to care any more and they don't.

I reached my limit with them. Cancelled yesterday after securing insurance with State Farm Brooke Bowen 352-661-3456. Quick response, friendly, monthly payment arrangements with no surcharge. Friend recommended them to me and their customer service was awesome!

I just renewed my insurance with Frontline Ins. thought the Villages Ins. and my rate was less than half. They will come out and take pictures inside and out to document the condition of your home. Give it a try.

I’m an Allstate agent working from home in The Villages. As of 3/10 Allstate is no longer writing property insurance however; we have many Allstate partners I can provide a quote from. Please call 954-437-9220 ext. 308 or email hrichardson4@allstate.com. I’ve helped several neighbors save money but, more importantly obtain the insurance that meets their needs. I have 25 years experience and was an underwriter as well.

When I called TV Ins to purchase my HO ins policy I was surprised that it took days to get a call back from an agent. My concern is that if it takes days to get a call back to buy insurance how long will I have to wait to hear back from them if I have a problem.

I had ongoing communication issues with The Villages Insurance. I had been with them since 2003. Last year I had enough of this poor communication/customer service.
I put my whole Travelers package over to Lassiter-Ware Insurance Brokers. My Rep Gina is top notch. The customer service is fabulous and the way it should be.

You’re exactly right, look at what they’re giving you before you purchase. They’ll make you think your getting it cheaper but don’t get cheated & then get your house burnt down & have to pay half for the same house. Just make sure it’s Apples to Apples!

I switched to State Farm to cover my house, two cars, two golf carts, and umbrella liability. I saved over $1,000 in this combination and paid monthly instead of annually or semi-annually. Easy on my monthly payments! Whew!

If you’re a vet, or the child of a vet, call USAA. They are very precise and selective over what properties they’ll insure, but very much worthwhile. I’ve been with them for over 25 years, both up north as well as in The Villages.
