Pro V1's at the Tampa Hardrock are 94$ a dozen with tax. So, 55$ aint bad. BUT, remember, it aint the arrow, its the shooter. All balls work, but all swings don"t. All balls work or tour payers would play the same ball. Find a ball that makes you happy and stay with it. No wrong answer here.......just like Ben and Jerry's

Once upon a time, the Kirkland brand balls were made for Costco by Callaway. Not sure if that is still the case.

Callaway never made Kirkland Golf Balls. The original manufacturer for Kirkland was Nassau Golf in Korea, but some say the ball was actually made by Qingdao SM Parker in China. Nassau Golf also produced TaylorMade Golf balls.

Qingdao SM then took over production of Kirkland golf balls, in China.

It's now rumored that a company in Thailand is producing Kirkland golf balls.

I am an amazon shopper so I checked out the price there and it was $55 a dozen. Maybe it's time to switch brands but I know some golfers swear by titles. I am not a great golfer but I use Srixon at $35 a dozen - especially since I've been know to loose a ball or two. Some golfers in the neighborhood swear that used balls if rated good quality. I saw 50 titleist pro v1x 2014 for $93 in AAAA condition as an example.

It looks like you can buy both versions of the Pro V1 balls on Amazon. The 2023 version is $55 per dozen and the older version is $50 per dozen.

After seeing the original post, I did some further research. Golf balls have gotten a lot more complicated (or least they are marketed as such) in the past few years.

I had heard of Titleist Pro V1 and Titleist Pro V1x. Now they have added Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash and Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash RCT. The RCT stands for Radar Capture Technology. They also have Pro V1 left dot.

Are there any good golfers out there can explain the differences between the balls?

Are these legitimate differences or just a way to increase the cost for the newest ball?

I watch golf club commercials on television and every year, there is a new club designed to hit it farther and straighter - for about $500! I bought one years ago. It didn't work.

Golf equipment is one of the biggest scams around. I played high school golf, but now I may play one 9-hole round every 2 or 3 years. I have a set of clubs that I bought at K-Mart for $75, including the bag. Last year, my neighbor, who is younger than me, plays every day, and has very expensive equipment, invited me to play 9 holes. I beat him by 2 strokes. Go figure.

I would never pay $55 for any golf ball. My goal when buying golf balls is to get as many balls as I can for the cheapest price. They all end up in the woods or the water. Since you can’t look for them, I am not spending money on them.
