Wow, Gracie....you were right on target so early in the morning. Well said! Remind me to give you the SPOTD Award later.

I personally think that this is one of the all-time best excuses for having a poor golf game. I'm going to keep it in mind when I play golf next....no matter when or where it will be. "So Karen, how was your golf game?". "Oh...had a bad game....noise from the polo grounds". Great excuse....I love it!

Do not.....I repeat, DO NOT........log onto the politics board.

Distant sounds from an athletic field full of people enjoying life and who aren't in the nursing home or hospital (which are quiet places) is not even close to the distraction that is caused by somebody yacking loudly right beside the tee while you're hitting your tee shot.

How do people live there and put up with this noise. Don't even think of putting your house up for sale during polo season. How can the Villages do this to these poor people. Something must be done to stop the noise.
We live right accross the street and don't mind the loudspeakers as it is infrequent. You must be a great golfer to let that little noise distract you.....unlike Sandhill Cranes, others carts, trains, cars etc........

My suggestion to you is, the next time there is a Polo Match, golf at Bonifay!!! Then you will not here the noise that your complaining about. Next we are going to tell the High School not to play football, because of the noise and cheering of the crowd. Nothing like hearing the cheering of crowd at football games, baseball games and Polo Matches, whether playing golf or not. You are entitled to your opinion though!! Lets see? If I have a bad game, I can blame it on the noise from the Polo Match!!! Hmmmmmm?
