Default Rather see the sun set

Oh my....I keep asking myself that when I "get older" will I wake up early like others do? I really want to be able to get up around 7 but just not happening. I never was a morning person and I'm still not. The sun rises, in my world, about 8:30 am. It sets about midnight! So does getting up early come with age or not? Maybe it's in the same category as eating large meals vs eating small meals. Older people seem to eat smaller meals. I look forward to the day when I don't eat so much!

Not sure, but wisdom does. I'll tell you when I get there.

Wow...this is me word for word.

If I have to get up for something, then I get up around 6:30. If I have nothing to do, I usually wake up about 7:30, but I really enjoy laying about in bed until 8:00 or 8:30 or until I feel like getting up.

I also don't understand this business of being programmed. I had jobs, for most of my life, that required getting up at 4:00 on weekends. I always hated having to do that. Now that I don't have to, I don't.

I see all of these people on here waking up before the sun rises and I am beginning to understand why everything in The Villages shuts down at 9:00pm.

I really don't care what time I get up; spent most of my life getting up at 5:30 so now that I don't have to I don't-just get up whenever I wake up and say thank you but usually about the same time as the sun-lol

My answer depends on when the sun comes up! In the winter I beat the sun by a mile - this time of year the sun beats me! I get up between 5:45 and 6:30 every morning.

I try real hard to go to bed before the sun rises. Don't always succeed. Does that count?

I missed this post this morning because I was already up and gone. I almost always am up before 5:00 AM, usually showered and at breakfast someplace by 6:00 AM, and doing what ever work or fun I am doing for the day by 6:30 AM. This morning at 6:15 I was building the frame to convert a kitchen cupboard to hold two trash containers. Had it finished and operational by 9:00 AM and on to the next endeavor.

Default It feels like another time zone where I am

Where I am this summer the sun rises at 5:15ish AM . I am stressing about something or not feeling well if I wake up before that.

I sleep much later in the morning when in TV, which I think is due to how late the sun rises compared to where I spent the summer.

I still am amazed that TV sunrise is 1 h 15 m later than where I am in eastern MA.

I love to sit on the lanai and listen to the birds & the frogs. They have an order of when they join in.... The sunrise is a gift to see. I would prefer to sleep longer but at least watching the earth say good morning helps make early mornings worth while. Coffee, Lanai, Birds, Sunrise...priceless!

We are spending the month in Marblehead Ma and the current sunrise is 5:15 AM and sunset is 8:22 PM. The sun wakes me up too early here, but it definitely is first to rise.
