Default Get DirecTV!!

I had DirecTV "up north" for several years, but got talked into getting Comcast for everything when we came down here. What a mistake!

Without going into a lot of detail, we pay a little more to have DirecTV for television and Comcast for phone and internet.

As far as I'm concerned, those two companies define the best and worst customer service and tech support in the industries which provide in home communications services.

Comcast beats all the other internet providers with the speed of its broadband. I regularly get 25 Mbs throughout my home and could get 50 Mbs for another $5 per month. Comcast's standard speed is at least twice as fast as the service provided by the phone companies. If all you do is e-mail, no big deal. But if you use the internet a lot, the additional speed is very noticeable.

May look into Century Link at some point but for now do not see any reason to change over just for internet.
Why would you give up DirecTv for local channels when DirecTv has local channels? And you, like us, can get cable for INTERNET only and buy a Vonage to hook to cable INTERNET to call free around the World.

I had Direct TV a few years ago and did not like it. Went back to Time Warner (in SC).
