I could not agree more. I went to Publix yesterday and the shelves were stocked with everything but paper goods which they can’t help because of TP stupidity. I made sure to thank all staff I met, up to and including the man wiping down carts before reuse. We really want for nothing.

I agree. People are complaining about golf, but think about the people who work in the grocery store deli or check out. They can't social distance, and they come in much closer contact than 90% of people on a golf course. I give them so much credit.

Thank you.

And thank you all for going ALONE to supermarkets and not bringing your significant others or kids or grandkids or parents as if it were an enjoyable outing, and not a necessary, and potentially dangerous task.

And thank you for NOT bringing your pets in and insisting that the adorable little Peekapuggle in your arms is a service animal. If it's in your arms or in a doggie-stroller - it's not on duty. Get it out of the store.

And thank you for NOT touching me in the aisles. Not even if you are feeling warm and kind and wanting to give my shoulder a squeeze. I appreciate the sentiment - but please don't touch me. MY life might depend on it.****

****Edited to note: once this pandemic is over, I will probably want to give ALL of my customers a hug. I hope some of you will let me.

From this post I am assuming you are working at Publix. From the bottom of my heart I sincerely thank you for putting yourself in jeopardy to keep us supplied. We often don’t agree on the forum, but in this case, I applaud you. ❤️

Sorry, but no. My days of hugging friends hello and even shaking hands are over. I will give a bow and namaste.

My housecleaning/sanitation regimen will likely continue to be much more thorough than before. An ounce of prevention and all.

We will all do what we need to do but I bow to no one except God.

No bowing needed, but I'll take the namaste and return it in kind!

Some will believe you but I do not. I do so love your British humor. I hope to salute you and your wife and give you a virtual hug when this is over.
