For those who have been a tunnel accident..staying on their side would have stopped the accident

People drive this way in their carts, because it's how they drive on the street. I hate, hate, hate when people almost hit the front of my car (with the requisite dirty look) as they are cutting a corner to turn onto the street where I am. What did that 2 seconds saved buy them?? or maybe it's less wear and tear on the tires??? I don't know when people started to drive like this, but YES they do it in their carts too. WE ARE RETIRED people!! SLOW DOWN.....ENJOY THE RIDE!!!

The POA newsletter usually has a description of golf cart accidents which caused injuries. It's just crazy to read about some of the bizarre behavior. One accident involved a teenager driving a golf cart the wrong way in a roundabout, while his father sat in the passenger seat, supervising. All we can do is drive defensively.

My other half was out on his usual early morning bike ride today (7:30am) when a car cut the corner and almost took him out, the car was so far over it marked the curb with black from the tire!

I'm sure the folks that live near the tunnels just love hearing all the horn blowing. Just picture yourself living by the tunnels and hearing everybody going and coming to LSL blowing their horns. Give us all a break and go easy on the horn blowing.

Why can't people just learn to use the mirrors that are usually provided at the ends of the tunnels? They are placed in such a manner that allows you to see if anything is coming. But drivers should be staying in their own lane anyway.

Perhaps this is the answer to that question. I am a bit of a birdbrain, but I don't think safety devices are fool proof.

The best laid plans can be defeated by inattentive golf cart drivers.

Number 6 is my personal favorite.

They aren't foolproof but they are better than nothing.

Ever since I found out that you can just push the button to get through the gates anyway, I've wondered why they're still there?

Off topic perhaps: How about the people who are driving towards you with their left leg sticking out of their golf carts....Many times I have had to hug a curb or wall in the tunnel to avoid an accident. Please be considerate of oncoming drivers and keep you legs where they belong!!!

Default You know who you are...

Let's hear from some of the cart drivers who cut the corners on tunnels. I know you are reading this topic.

Would honking horns keep you on your side of the multi-modal path entering tunnels, or would speed bumps slow you down?

And why do you cut the corners anyway?

Good luck with getting answers to that one!
