Smile Derriere?

Where we lived in Central NY was on a lake surrounded by farm land-very bucolic. However, when the farmers spread manure on the fields you would get the sometimes strong aroma of the manure. People around there referred to it as "derriere(dairy air)". The farmers pointed out, if someone complained, that if you don't like the smell, don't move to a place where there are a lot of farms. It even permeated the small town, however, it didn't last long, and certainly wasn't everyday.
We just arrived here Tues. and I have noticed what I would call a smell like mildew in certain areas. I also noticed it on previous visits. I thought it might be from the mulch in the plantings. I'll take it. It's a small price to pay for such a beautiful place!
We're looking for our house--so excited!!

Hi, Kitty,,,, welcome to TV... I hope you find the house of your dreams. Your gonna love this place. I like the term "derriere air" very clever. Actually as I girl always growing up in huge cities, I love that smell cause it reminds me of the few times we went to the country as a kid.

I hope we get to meet you while your here. Tomorrow night we're at Havana CC. If you can, try to stop by. The gang will be there to greet you (usually rain or shine doesn't matter to us). Keep us posted on the house hunting, good luck!!!

Yeah, blame it on the horses. Does the order get stronger after you 3-putt?

They reapplied on Kenya today - just as the eau de derriere was fading.....

Hi Kitty, we usually get there around 7 to 7:30. We're outside near the band. Look for us there. Hope to see you!!!

I grew up on a horse farm. I know what horse manure smells like. I just thought that fertilizer for a golf course, intertwined throughout a neighborhood, could be made to smell better. When you have shoveled as much horse***t as I have. You never forget.
