I'm sure you're looking at fsbo.com, craigslist and zillow too. Best wishes in your move.

Ivy's are few and far between however there are 5 or 6 re-sales currently available that your agent should be able to find for you. They run between $600,000 and $750,000 on water or view lots. There is one available in the mid $500,000 price that is beautiful but just has a 2 car garage, an interior lot with absolutely no view, and it has vinyl floors. For some reason they are not building a lot of these, probably because of the price as there are 2 other 4 bedroom models with lesser square footage that are much lower in cost.

OP, also review the concerns about the types of views you are looking for, water views may or may no be there all the time, and may over time become over grown, G/C views tend to have noise and possible lower privacy, nature view will probably be land controlled by the water district, you do NOT own to the waters edge and you CANNOT alter or control the vegetation. I raise these points because there were a few threads recently about a pond (water retention) that now has beneficial growth that looks like large weeds, threads about golfers going on lawns to retrieve balls, talking loudly and golf cart noise, and the potential problems of be on an a nature preserve. Make sure you ask a lot of questions and fully understand what you are buying.
I am not trying to be negative, but the have been many people that have complained over the years about the fact that there wonderful view is no longer a wonderful view and there is nothing they can do about it.
Hope you find the house of your dreams, we did.

We have been on a man made pond for over 3 years and still have a very enjoyable view from our lanai. it is pretty well maintained and even this past summer with all the heat it still looked pretty good. I did find out that some of the ponds that are built are not intended to hold water and those are the ones you want to watch out for. As far as golf courses, I lived on one for 13 years and will never do that again, no privacy, too noisy, too much swearing (and other nasty stuff) especially if you are on a tee box and everyone assumes your yard is part of the golf course. I never lived on a preserve but have heard there are a lot of nasty creatures that come in and out of the marsh land. It is just my opinion but I am very happy that we chose a manmade retention pond for our back yard, lots of nature without the bugs and creatures and very private.
