So many creative people with their names.
Mine is just my first, middle initial then part of my last name.
Maybe it's time for a change.

Default Guess what color my eyes are?

Sort of a variation of Sinatra's Old Blue Eyes. And actually my eyes aren't that green, my contacts are. Here's the "rest of the story". Way back when I got my first military ID card through my husband, they had a lot more information on the card. It had height, weight (ugh!), eye color (Hazel), hair color (at that time brown), gender, etc. Went to the pharmacy on base, showed my card and waited for my prescription. After a while I hear the woman calling "Hazel Brown, your prescription is ready!" Took me a minute, then tried hard not to laugh in her face. I still use that name as a joke, or when I don't want to give out my real information. I know, TMI, but it still is funny to us.

Love your pug avatar. Bless you for rescuing pugs. They are my favorite breed.

Regarding my TOTV name -- I wanted a gender neutral name -- keeps people guessing . Schaumburg is the Chicago suburb I have lived in since 1994.

Sorry to hijack the thread. jane032657, Please keep your license plate just the way it is. This is a free country, and there is nothing wrong with your license plate.

Some people have trouble pronouncing my last name and they usually start it and end with "who?". My golfing buddies back home called me Dilly since there were 2 of us with the same first name.

Oops, I am very much a GIRL. I guess 'cause I said "golfing buddies" that confused you. I haven't seen you in a long time (my bad) so I'm sure you have forgotten. Hopefully, I can remedy that soon. Seems like hubby and I spend all our spare time at the doctors' lately. (They failed to list that as one of the chief activities in TV in the advertisings.)

You wonder why I spelled it this way? Because I wanted my license plate to read Happynow but someone else already had that so I changed it to Happinow. My husband's plate reads Happitoo!
When I started my first job, back in the dark ages, in Appalachia, running a large center, people there did not know what to do with a lady doctor. Neither did my male staff. I told them to call me by my first name. One day, my secretary, who was getting tired of telling people who were calling me that I was a female, she just said "lady doc can take your call now." The name stuck and I have been using it for a very long time.

Default teachnmo

Most of my educational life was spent teaching in Missouri...thus teachnmo. However I have also taught in Texas, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Arizona. While I thoroughly enjoyed my life teaching mainly special education students, I also thoroughly enjoy getting my retirement check each month. I thought I would miss it much more than I do.

My precious little Maltese dog, Ariel. Unfortunately, she passed away on January 6 at the ripe old age of 17. I have so many happy memories of her; she was quite a girl.

Bill-n-Brillo.......hmmmmm.......

'Bill': That's the easy part. 'Brillo': A nickname I've always had for Sandy, what with her naturally VERY curly hair. Those who have met her understand. Some people think it's rude to call her Brillo but she likes it. Honestly, some people I used to work with always only knew her by that - they'd eventually wind up asking what her real name was!!

Initially, I was thinking of making my member I.D. ................ 'Hoosier Daddy'.

Bill
