WOW!! They're really flying down your street at 30 mph. Thirty is the usual speed limit for thickly residential areas. We have signs in my neighborhood that say 20mph and most people got between 25 and 30.
Pretty soon we'll have to make illegal to actually be moving forward.

I use the same roads we all use -- 441, 466, 466A, 44.
I don't see any 20 MPH signs on any of these roads.

Judging from the comments of others, I must be blind. The only 20mph signs that I do remember are those around the round-abouts. No, I haven't been in every single village to see signs that say 15 mph, but even in a densely populated area, that seems awfully slow. That's even slower than a school zone.

As you approach The Villages there are signs on all the roads that say unless otherwise posted the speed limit is 20 MPH. It means maximum speed, not minimum speed. If you didn't see any of those signs you are probably missing the 10 MPH signs as you enter all 3 town squares.

I am pretty sure those signs are only when you approach the Sumter county portion of TV. At least that is where the sign is in Buena Vista as you go south from 42 in Marion county. Sumter county is the only county in TV that has that unmarked speed limit rule.

Correct, it is a Sumter County law and most of The Villages is in Sumter County. A couple of years ago a controversial independent study was funded by Sumter County to assess the safety of the roads in TV. It cost quite a bit and the results are public record showing the reason each of the roads in TV have the speed limit they have.
