Hi, I am new to the Villages, closed in September. Yamaha is one of the brands that I was looking at with four seats. Are you implying that it would not be allowed, I am confused by your post. Feel free to text me, 734-564-2729 Thanks, Bill

Welcome to The Villages. You should buy whatever golf cart meets your needs (range, number of seats, electronics, etc.). The only real concern for you is that there are a couple of tunnels up north that have low ceilings that a tall cart may have trouble navigating. Regarding playing golf, you do need turf tires but virtually all golf carts will come with those. If in doubt, tell your dealer you will be playing golf.
Here are the tunnel heights but I doubt you will have issues with a Yamaha. Some other brands of carts have high roofs, especially if they are lifted. https://www.districtgov.org/departme...%20HEIGHTS.pdf Last edited by biker1; Yesterday at 06:05 PM. |

When I first came to TV (we rented for a few months to decide where we wanted to buy), I rented a golf car and all that was available was a 4 seater. I played multiple rounds of golf with no issues. |

By your reasoning, virtually no golf cart would meet Florida’s statutory definition simply because its governor could be adjusted or its throttle remapped to increase its maximum speed. You’re confusing a vehicle’s current capability with its potential capability after modification. I seriously doubt the Florida Legislature intended to define golf carts in a way that effectively eliminates them from existence. |

Will the additional weight cause more wear a tear on the golf course? A wet golf course? 10 feet off the fringe??
