We have been in Florida for about 20 years. Since moving to The Villages, the condo has been for sale. Summer temps run about 3 degrees hotter up here than on the southeast coast. Our plan is to buy a motor home, and get out of FL in the 3 or 4 hottest months. We would see a different part of the country each year. Just waiting for the condo to be sold.

Exactly what I would do except probably not the Cape, it's way too crowded now. I have not found the summer here to be that bad which was a huge surprise to me but I do miss MA. This is only my first year here so I assume the home sickness will get easier to deal with.
