Fenny will soon not be isolated. No "dark roads" A square will be built as close to them as the squares are to the rest of The Villages. Every day for the next 19 years ten thousand Boomers a day are retiring. Why shouldn't they want to buy here. We all are smart folks and we did.

Florida is the third most populous state in the U.S. now. After California and Texas.

When we moved into our home which is just off 466 many people said...why would they want to move there, right close to all of that traffic? I have heard negatives about this village and that, but I betcha back where we all came from, no matter WHAT we paid for home that the climate and the mix of hard working people who made it to buy a home here were not as wonderful.

Fenney (Or is it spelled Fenny) people will be smilin'.
The developer priced the homes a little lower because it was a bit separated. But not for long. Smart folks to buy there.

Keep 'em comin' Morse family. Try to weed out the terrible drivers, but other than that, I am good.

Ask 98% of villagers. They All say too far
Give it 5 years, no isolation, no desolation, a new square, traffic light. The Morse family is not dumb.

With all the negative talk, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the possibly of a "boogy man" or such scary things hiding in the bushes to terrorize all the new residents at night.

Next week everyone will get to see the Rec Center with zero entry pool, the bar and grill, cafe, sales office, be introduced to the many amenities Fenney now has and will soon have. The first adult pool is complete and within that area is a pavilion with picnic tables, outdoor exercise equipment, pickle ball, etc. There is quite a bit ready to go down here and much more in the works. It's going to be fun just watching it grow, there are noticeable changes every day. The surrounding roadways are all being widened to four lanes, Buena Vista will be connecting and it will be easy access from everywhere. I don't know much about the golf car access but I do know the tunnels and crossing are in the works, Buena Vista will have a bridge over the turnpike so I would assume there will be a golf car lane running along the side. I'm sure that this area was well thought out before the first shovel hit the ground, it will be just fine down here.

NO WONDER I immediately took to you. I just noted you are from Hudson, Ohio. What a lovely place.

. Wishing you happiness in your new home.

Fenny will end up just as good as any other part of The Villages.

I know. Ridiculous to think on isolated dark road which will be traveled by Seniors, they could possibly be a target. Lol

I'm really looking forward to seeing Fenney for myself when I come back to TV for a visit in September. I'm sure Fenney is as beautiful as the rest of The Villages is, and the new residents of Fenney are excited about their new homes. Happy setting in to all you Fenneyites/Fenneyers.

I agree. And it's ridiculous to think that a community of 120,000 seniors spread over 32 square miles travelling in golf carts both day and night could possibly be a target. Oh, wait, this is one of the safest zip codes in the country.

It isn't paranoia IF they REALLY are out to get you, but in this case, it's just paranoia.

The best pro side of the Feeney discussion has been some people like the isolationism. Well if that's' the best the pro side has to offer I give you this - if you cherish the peace and solitude of this lovely Village why would you want to buy a house with kissing lanai's in the Mohave dessert?

I am still having trouble figuring out the purpose of all these negative posts about Fenny. Jealousy, envy what is it?

What in the World are you talking about?? We have Nothing to be jealous of as we are near Sumter and love it! When people give their take on a subject , such as I did, on the distance and safety concern, it doesn't mean it's Negative. It means We don't want to live so far from activities as we are very active and for me personally safety Is a concern. Stop trying to make everything negative. For those who want solitude, it might be their cup of tea. Get over it. If u ask the majority of villagers, they don't like the distance away. Maybe u don't get out enough, to talk to other villagers. Are they getting their own square as ours are crowded enough??? Maybe you don't go to them often enough to realize that. Also if u get out enough to talk to villagers, you would also hear they want the building to stop. My goodness, let people voice their opinions. Just because it's different then yours , doesn't mean it won't help someone else!
