Good for you. I love being retired after the intense job I had. Live it up!

Tomorrow is my Birthday the big "65", so we plan to celebrate with a cruise next week. But right now I am just happy to not get on another plane for awhile. 52 flights a year x 9.5 yrs.....That's enough for me for a good long time.

Gotta change my Avatar to reflect my current life of leisure!! Glad to be among you and with my fabulous husband on a full time basis!! It is fabulous to have a blank calendar at which to stare!!!
Leisure? Are you kidding? You are moving to TV. I do not have time for leisure. There are too many things to do, too many friends to be with. I do not have time to do those things I thought I would be doing when I retired. I used to read books but do not find time to do that anymore. No complaints as I am loving it.

Your calendar will be full shortly.

Seems like dotti105 had a plan and stuck to it. That's very impressive. And now you have one. Look forward to congratulating you in 5 years.

Congratulations! I know it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Now the only time you have to get on a plane is when it is leaving when you want to leave and going where you want to go. Yay!

Congratulations Dotti!

From a number of posts, it looks like it is retirement season. I too will retire soon - at the end of October. we have been lucky enough to live in TV since March due to a job that can be done on a virtual office basis. However, sometimes when I look out the window, I feel like the kid who stayed home from school due to illness and is now seeing everyone outside playing.
