Did y'all know I truly hate/loathe/despise lovebugs? They're just icky! A royal pain in a convertible. Can't smoke outside without kiling a slew of 'em. Well, I had my first sighting of a few yesterday in Tall Trees. A couple more today in Calumet Grove.
They're backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!

Yet another great reason to stop smoking. Some people consider them very inspirational. ;D

I've still never seen a Love Bug, the name is so cute! Looks like I left just in time to avoid them. Do they come back in the Fall?
Why aren't they called Hate Bugs? Or Icky Bugs?

Yuck...better start washing the car every time you take it out if you want to keep your finish.

I asked our sales rep why people make such a big deal about "Bird Cages" when to my understanding mosquitos were not that much of an issue and she said, "LOVE BUGS"!!!!! "Luv bugs?!?!" said I, how bad can a "'Love Bug" be?!?
"OMG", gasped she, "They swarm, they get intimate and their body fluids stain everything!!!" EWWWWWW is right!

I really cant figure this lovebug thing out! :dontknow: I have not seen one lovebug as of yet. or should I say two seeing as they fly United. (that was very good Eddie).
Im feeling like Im on another planet with all the talk of these unwanted creatures. I guess I should consider myself lucky as they seem to be very unpopular. Anyway we will be taking a ride over to Duval tonite, mabe someone can point out these dispicable creatures so I will know what everyones talking about. Ronda, Judylou, VK, your on my side of TV, have you seen any lovebugs????? :dontknow:

Our first and so far, only introduction to love bugs was several years ago when my wife and I were driving back to Orlando Airport. We had dropped our son off at college (ERAU in Daytona) and were driving to the airport at night. About halfway down there it started to rain which I thought was strange since the sky, even though dark, seemed clear. After awhile it really started hitting the windshield (rented car by the way) and I put the wipers on. All I got was a huge smear across the windshield so I pushed the washer button. Hmmm....didn't do much good. After a mile or two we came out of it and there was no rain after that. It was only when we returned the car that we saw the entire front end was plastered with dead bugs. YIKES! That wasn't rain...it was BUGS! The guy who took the car back seemed unfazed. We just shrugged our shoulders and boarded the airport shuttle. What do we know...we're from Long Island. We still want to move to TV but the bugs still have us...well...a little bugged.
