Wink The 3 "P"'s

If you served on a Condo Board you would quickly find the main issues are called the 3 "P"'s: Poop, Pools and Pooches. They are the main complaints from the owners.

I think they are just selling it until the end of May.

Since you are back in the thread, can you please explain why it bothers you?

loyalty even when being cutesy and calling it loyal-tee is not sold it is rewarded, discount cards are sold, call a spade a spade...that is it in a nut shell, I only found it an annoyance, people assumed inflection.

I feel when someone Stops what they are doing to start a thread, they care or they wouldn't bother. We puchased the card-- whatever you want to call it -- because Evans is one of our favorite places to eat. I almost always have a drink. It makes good business sense to me to pay $20 once and for the rest of the year pay half price for my drinks.

I'm not a fan of discount cards or so called loyalty cards. If I was Emperor, they would be gone period. Just sell your product to me for the best low price----you need one for gas, groceries, prescriptions, food, nails and etc. etc. It's ridiculous and time consuming.

never said a discount card was bad.....
You said this discount card was "just not right." So, what does that mean? It's wrong, not bad? This whole thread is silly. If you don't want to buy one, then don't. I wanted to buy one so I did. It's a discount card with a silly name. For us, it's already paid for itself. We're happy with it. Like all things, it's not for everyone. This obviously doesn't work for you. I can't say I understand the outrage over the name of the card, but that's your burden, and not mine. Enjoy your day!

You are absolutely right. If it were a "loyalty" card, and not a cost discount card, you wouldn't have to renew annually at a cost of an additional $20, whether you use it or not. Where is the reward in that?

That said, I, too, would have some cognitive dissonance if I'd paid $20 for such a card. If a person uses it often enough, I suppose it would be worth the money, given that the $3 margaritas, once offered to all customers, are no longer available without it.

Does someone twist your arm to buy one of these cards?

I don't even buy one of those local discount on everything cards coupon books when the Cub Scouts are selling them.

Sometimes using coupons prompts you to buy what you don't want or need.

Damn thrifty Gracie.
