First Exercise
Second use Curcuminoids (turmeric, Ginger, Bioperine)

I had a lot of pain from pinched nerve. Need to work those muscles around the injury to bring the spine back into alignment.

Go that route before getting misled by doctors

Default Definitely Dr Baker

Highly recommend Christopher Baker in Orlando. He is worth the drive to Orlando. My husband had the same problem but a little higher (cervical). Had fusion surgery and he's good as new. Surgery was easy, recovery was complete.

Summer of 2019 I had my L4/L5 fused by Dr. Bono at Biospine. I went to his Tampa office as I live there, but I understand he also has an office in Orlando. Incredible surgeon, and I’ve been to a number of surgeons over the years. Highly recommend Dr. Bono. I’m now back to playing table tennis , pain free. He also fused my C5 - C7, as I had damaged my spinal cord before the fusions since I waited too long.

Closest Dr. Paraiso, Central Florida Spine Institute, Summerfield (opposite Walmart on 441) and Ocala. Spine surgery, diagnosis. Surgery in Villages hospital. Will order an MRI from either Sand Lake Imaging or Lake Medical Imaging (several locations).

my husband has a cyst l4 l5, dr from the Chicago Rehabilitation Institute said the scar tissue from surgery would make it worse, gave a few exercises to do and pain went away, he still does them if it flares up. he had pain down the leg and left foot drop.

You might try "radio ablation" on your back. I've had surgery and lots of shots over time but the RA seems to work the best for about a year. It's when a pain doctor burns the nerves around your L-1 through L-5. The nerves grow back together over time but the procedure works good for a while, maybe up to a year, at least for me.

Default Back pain, and or sciatica

I am a retired doctor of chiropractic who practiced over 30 years. Chiropractic gave me my life back when I had severe back pain and sciatica. However when I had an auto accident that gave me for major herniated discs in the low back and I could not walk and my sciatica was so severe they put an elevator chair in my home. I had spent thousands of dollars on medical chiropractic physical therapy and epidurals and a failed minimally invasive laser spine surgery that injured me horribly and made my sciatica worse.

Then I discovered IDD internal disc decompression which got me walking pain-free again and put a golf club back in my hands. And that's what I recommended to patients for years until I retired try natural first drug second and surgery last. It is a noninvasive very gentle procedure that takes the pressure off the nerves and rehydrate the disc like a squashed marshmallow becoming more whole again. I know when I had a flareup I went to colony chiropractic Dr. Robert Assaunaught who has an inexpensive decompression table but it helped me. My original decompression table called VAX/D is now in my basement in Atlanta and when I bend over wrong or cough or sneeze or put the tea in the ground wrong, my wife puts me on decompression and four days later I'm back doing things I haven't been able to do for 30 years i.e. golf pickle ball tennis etc. Hope this helps

Almost all of my spinal epidurals were performed following back surgery in OCT 2017. I finally gave up on them and had a spinal stimulator implanted in FEB. I am 75% improved. Still have strange left leg sensations and can't do the things I used to do without starting to experience discomfort - but I'm 80, so I'm grateful to be able to wake up each day and not read my name in the obits.....

Agree 100%....do whatever you can for yourself first bf allowing surgery.
I too have major L4&L5 issues. I try to walk allot, and most important...have good shoes with good inserts!
I can tell within an hour im going to be sorry -if I'm not wearing that support. Don't lift heavy stuff and do your exercise. Best of luck
