In the United States, state courts in California, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin have ruled that ladies' night discounts are unlawful gender-based price discrimination under state or local statutes. However, courts in Illinois, Minnesota, and Washington have rejected a variety of challenges to such discounts.

It’s music so it gets a pass. How about “Rape me” by Nirvana? It is still played weekly on radio stations

O please, IMO ladies night where drinks are discounted just another way to take advantage of women at end of the night. Probably only attracts alcoholic’s anyway. See why this would upset some…

This is of course hearsay on my part. Does anyone have any knowledge of this? (Would a man actually do that?). I personally don’t believe that anyone would have grounds for an individual or class action suit, since similar specials have been going on for decades throughout the country. Even so, the management apparently feels that they would still have to defend such a frivolous suit should one be filed, and subsequently stopped Ladies Night.
Comments?
Maybe just maybe they were losing money on “Ladies Night” and this dude was made up as an excuse to end it

So the simple solution is to not do away with half price drink days for women but to add a similar day for men.

So because there is ladies night, it’s to take advantage of women at the end of the night? Why because not bright enough to be on their own?
The insinuation that ladies night “probably only attracts alcoholics” is a slap in the face to all women.

Maybe it’s your age bracket, that you feel women are not not capable of making good life choices, on their own, or a women who enters a bar on ladies night is an “alcoholic”.

So sad that some, Men or Women, still think of women this way.
