We have bikes -- the pedal kind -- and love to ride around TV. Also, I do water aerobics. We love dancing in the squares, golf, tennis, walking, and since we are new, exploring.

I was worried for awhile that the TOTV folks might not be typical TV'ers but with Fumar's reply and others it appears that I'm heading into the right environment.

I hope my list can be as long as Fumar's (without the bathrobe incident!) :joke:

I take it that Hope2B should change her/his name to Hopetostayforever?

Russ: Thanks for starting this thread. Great ideas coming forth.

I wonder . . . are there many opportunities for scheduled water aerobics, on a daily basis, maybe at different pools? Also, please tell about the squares. I thought I remembered reading, hearing, that the squares turn into vendors market-type thing on Sat. and Sun. day. Is that true? Can you actually buy fresh produce at the squares during the summer months? Curious.

I did water aerobics for a couple years. I need to get back to it.
Add -- check out what is new with the vendors
Just hanging out at the square
happy hour at the Country Clubs
Cheering on the Buckeyes with a couple hundred other fans
Let's see if my new name shows up.
Fresh veggies at LSL. None at SS since the market left.
Golly am I tired and I have a tee time today.

There are more activities here in the Villages than you could ever have time to do. It all depends on your interests.
I belongs to:
The Red Hats
Michigan Club
Ohio Club
Italian American Club
Digital Scrapbooking Club
Baby Boomers
Bowling League
Golfing
Water Aerobics
Reading ( My favorite library is the Mark Twain Library at the Paradise Center
TOTV Member
Neighborhood parties and going out to eat.
Working Part-Time
So you see I am busy, but I love it. If we were home in Michigan we would be stuck in the house because of the cold and snow.

Judylou,

there is no doubt you would be stuck in the house if you were home like us snowbirds/snowflakes. Then you would be on TOTV almost 24 hours a day and would have to join the TOTV addicts support group. You are so lucky to be there.

Maybe there's others like me, wannabee who will still be working when we move to TV.. Are there activities at different times of the day -- like evening clubs/activities, too, besides going to the squares? ???

pm...a lot of the social clubs and cards/games meet in the evenings; surprisingly, not as many of the clubs/activities meet on the weekends. Here's a link to the current weekly activities schedule to give you a feel for "a week in the life of the Villages"

A lot of dog owners don't know about DDRR because they don't advertise (low budget I expect). If there are any dog owners out there who want information on DDRR, please send me a PM.

Barefoot

Barefoot,

Is there any chance in getting a DDRR in TV? There seems to be enough dog owners to spark an interest in developing one.

If they are willing to build playgrounds for the grandchildren, they certainly can develop a "playground" for the doggies.

You have mentioned a topic near and dear to my heart. lovehorse

I am going to talk to the Pet Lovers Club about possibly lobbying the Developer to provide a dog park in TV. Since TV allows two dogs per household, and there are thousands of dogs in TV, I'm sure they would consider providing a scrubby piece of property. I'm sure this would help with some of the current unhappiness about where dogs are walked!

I have started collecting names and numbers from people who are currently using DDRR, and they are willing to help me get petitions signed. I also know some TOTV members who will help.

If you would be willing to help, please PM me. And thanks for bringing this up!! ;D
