I want to know why she was served at home, what did the other person involved have happen, and who for the villages okayed this. Someone in authority has to request the trespass citation. Police do not make that decision themselves.

Things are different all over? I am sure the town merchants requested the trespass citation. They pay for the entertainment, and perhaps thought she wasn't entertaining?

She shouldn't have punched someone. No matter how mad she was.

Nah, I'm always giving people advise, never had a problem. I just think it's wrong if you claim to be a real lawyer, I always tell the truth, I'm half a lawyer.

I thought entertainment was paid by a public grant

Sumter County has provided a grant for part of the cost of the entertainment among other things. But I believe the bulk of the entertainment cost is covered by the merchants.

Is the square public property? If it is then wouldn't it be the town of Lady Lake who would issue the trespass order?

My understanding is that the owner of a property has the right to ban anyone from their property. In the case of public property, this would be the city, town county state or federal government.

I don't believe that a court order is necessary.

I'm not a lawyer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

However it was done, it appears to have been done legally. But they didn't say she couldn't dance at the other squares.

Does line dancing cause OCD? I think that her friends act like the mean girls. If I decked someone on purpose while dancing because someone taunted me, my friends would run like rabbits. People frequently hoot and cry out even when I am slow dancing. One needs to keep a stiff upper lip. It shows character and perseverance.

The squares are private property. The streets around them are public property. That is why a few years ago when Rick Scott spoke at Lake Sumter Landing that the "protestors" carrying signs were told to move out of the square.

BTW, when does Vinyl Recall play again?

So what is considered personnel space? If someone gets in you face several times waiving and swings arms in aggressive manner. When is it considered aggressive enough to do something? Our do you got to wait till your attacked or dead? IMO nobody got the right to get within inches and act like idiot when you don't have clue how or what there intentions are? Me I'm not going to wait. I'm sure if I walked up to cop within inches and swing my are aggressively he's not going to wait several times before he takes me out.

And therein lies the tale.

Your right to swing ends where another's face begins. Plus you have the further excuse of having testosterone. Nice girls don't hit. EVER. Unless they are defending hearth and home.

I read on the internet it wasn't about line dancing, that it was lap dancing and they are covering it up. Anyone else hear this?
