First of all, I think that anyone is allowed to give legal or any kind of advice for that matter. Only licensed attorneys are allowed to charge for it.

Secondly, no one on here is giving any advice to anyone. They are simply expressing their opinions on a forum. As far as I know, we are still entitled to have opinions.

We don't even know if the women involved are on this site so how can it possibly be construed that someone is giving them legal advice?

Cool Go For It

What the heck if a person does not believe they are giving "legal advise" then
by all means go for it. No one says you have to listen. If you disagree then pay
no attention.

Is that what the "news" really said? Or did you read it backwards? I read the "news" to say that she and her friends originally vowed to go back to the square, but then she was banned ... Big difference.

Not true Gracie. Not true at all. The only reason to "swing" is to connect with someone's face. Women have as much right to defend themselves (in public, or in private) as men do. And if that defense includes a punch to the jaw, so be it. It has nothing to do with being a "nice girl".

According to all of the witnesses, the so called "victim" intentionally started the fight. She was looking for trouble, and she found it. If she did what the witnesses said she did, then she deserved what she got. Everyone has the right to defend themselves against bullies.

Sorry folks, if I'm dancing away and knew someone was "looking for trouble" why would I want to get involved. Use your feet and not your fists, walk, or dance, to another location, sit one out, take a break - anything, but punch someone, really? Why sink to their level - especially if you new ahead of time they were looking for a fight.

Nice to have you say what I think too.

And another thing too. Nice men don't hit either. I have known my knight on a white charger for longer than the fifty three years we have been married and he has never thrown a punch or needed to during that time. He said he did a few times as a kid.

One time at a golf tournament at our club, I arrived to check the scores, a known cheater stopped me and said. "Your husband called me a (expletive)". I said..."he is rarely wrong" and walked away. By the way, on that day the (expletive) was on my husbands team.

I don't like macho men or macho women. And that probably has a lot to do with when I was born and how I was raised.

However, no one has ever tried to harm my kids or my Sweetie in my presence. Who knows what I could do? Eyeballs hanging from my fingertips would be a start.

One more point, they have out her name, age, and address......but haven't heard anything about the punchy....seems maybe one sided

She should just stay home for the 30 days and cool off......it's too darn hot to dance anyway......
How many hit or punch songs can you list?
Mary Wells: You Beat Me To The Punch
Pat Benatar "Hit Me with Your Best Shot"

"According to all the witnesses the so called victim started the fight". Let's see, those "witnesses" would be all the line dancers. I guess the police blew it when they cited the instructor despite all the unbiased "witnesses".

Thanks for clearing that up.

Vinyl Recall would love to play the squares again. We will play when we are asked by the Entertainment Department.
