I would consider myself a "nice girl" when I was 17. I'm no longer 17. I'm a woman, a military veteran, who knows when to walk away from a random drunk. But I also know when to stand up to an idiot who is harassing and bullying others. If what all of the other witnesses say happened, truly happened, then this woman deserved to be taken down. No one has the right to get into other people's faces, chest bump them, grab onto them and then expect them to meekly walk away. That's how the bullies win.

Yes she was banned from the square too, she is also a Village resident, we all would like to know why they didn't put her name & address & AGE in the paper, she is the one who went after the person who slapped her, she went after her 3 times & wouldn't leave her alone, so she slapped her, she didn't punch her. She was over heard from someone sitting by her that she was going to get the line dancers. She picked on the nicest person you would want to know.

Your friend should have been handcuffed, taken to the jail, photographed and finger printed, then outfitted with a jumpsuit, sandals, and a court date. If i were to go to the square and slap, push or punch someone, that is exactly what would happen to me. And I would deserve that. As for the "other" person. It appears the very competent police agency involved determined that she was a VICTIM of a crime. Hence her name was not released, victims for the most part in our society have some protection under the law.
Should one of your friends or relatives find themselves on the short end of a push, slap or punch, I bet your tune would be much different.

Actually, if a friend or loved one of mine were harassing people on the square, I would consider it to be an act of love to gently remove her from the situation. Of course, if she was drunk or belligerent it might be difficult to do. I certainly wouldn't be taking pictures of a friend acting like a fool!

The problem is the kind of dancing you people are doing. They had the same problem in Ireland a long time ago. A little too much drinking, arms swinging all over the place, and before you know it, a fight breaks out.
