In retrospect, I worded my last response poorly. The real question is: Does the 3 year old child have a right to walk between YOUR legs if you are only taking up part of the sidewalk?

I agree. The Hokey Pokey brings out the worst in some people.

Sometimes you just have to put a bully in their place. Now, I probably would have just pushed her back out of my space if I was the line dancer, but then, I wasn't there and I don't know how the line dancer was processing everything at the time. It's much easier Monday morning quarterbacking. I have witnessed some very passive people snap in certain stressful situations.

You are speaking about passivity as if it weren't a strength.

Police officers can't respond to taunts and threats and bad behavior, neither can teachers.

I'm not speaking about it as if it were a weakness, either. Although I don't think it is necessarily a strength. It is just one of many characteristics. Where I grew up you were "boarded" by the principal if you so much as back talked to a teacher. And you sure as heck didn't smart off to the police. When the police told you to do something, you did it.

Does anyone know what transpired post slap/punch? Did the line dancer do an endzone dance while exchanging high fives with her line dancing sisters and brothers? Did two tribes engage in a face off, hurling insults? This episode needs an ending.

You'll have to wait for the final episode of next season's Survivor--The Villages

But...
If you ever watch the women and some men who do the line dancing, over in the corner of the square......look closely.....they are never smiling.....never look like they are enjoying themselves......always look...somewhat unhappy.I think they take themselves much too seriously.

When hubby and I are out there, we are usually laughing at ourselves and the other dancers, so much.....that we are all smiles....Its fun.....and funny at the same time.

Take a look next time your at the squares.....check out the line dancers who are always there....they are always the same people.....they never look like they are enjoying themselves..........curious huh......

What ever happened to smiling, joyful couples enjoying a dance together?
I thought that I was tho only one who could see that line dancers are pure evil. Those blank stares on their faces and moving together on the dance floor are proof of some kind of hedonistic devil worship. If you look close, you can see that their moves are calling upon the Coyotes to decent upon us.

I don't think they all smile because I don't think they all can do those steps without thinking or counting. I was in a couple of musicals in HS and for some people dancing while smiling came easy, not me. It was the CYO so I know there wasn't any devil worshipping going on.

I have seen this posted twice recently. I can delete my posts. Maybe I am not supposed to be able to?

How do you delete it ? I just looked again. No way I see to delete it. You can take everything you wrote off it, but the post is still there and you have to have at least 3 symbols or 3 of something.

I am still going with my other post saying these line dancers are good folks having a great time in The Villages.

By the way, the squares themselves are NOT public property- they are private property owned by The Villages. The streets surrounding the squares are public. The private ownership was the reason the dancer could be issued the no trespassing order.

Well , I must take that back. I USED to be able to delete posts. Delete was an option after you click edit post. In fact I did it on 8/20 in thread Championship golf course rates

Obviously I was not suppose to be able to and that has been remedied. This picture shows I am not dreaming all this
