Slowly furnishing my new home, and it’s time to get some artwork up on the walls. I would like some nice watercolors or Art-deco type travel posters of some of the landmarks in The Villages (iconic buildings from the squares, the golf cart bridge, any of the golf courses, ponds, rec centers, etc.) I’ve searched online, and can’t find anything from The Villages, and so far I haven’t seen anything like this in any store or vendor here in TV. Is anyone aware of any local art for sale? Thanks.

There are two major art leagues in TV that I know of: Visual Arts Association, and The Villages Art League. Both have shows and sales, I think twice a year, at some of the regional rec centers. These are great places to view and purchase art directly, and you should find art depicting scenes in The Villages. Many of these artists will also work with you to do custom paintings. We just had Betty Eich do a large piece of photo art for us from a film print. You can search for these two clubs on line.
