I truly doubt that. They are opinionated morons. I guess you don't read their garbage. It's actually quite comical.

But perhaps "concerned" would have been a better word choice than upset.

This forum is also free and chuck full of lots of negative comments about TVHS as well as any thing else that happens around here that some one doesn't like. Rumors run rampant and posters openly complain and condem contractors, services and restaurants on a regular basis.

If you ever want to see the true ugly under belly of America's Frienglist Hometown just read a few threads in the political forum. They are anonymous giving the poster free rein to level a vitriolic tirade on anything or anyone they don't agree with.

Both the online news source and TOTV are free and only require a click to access. If one, the other or both make you crazy, don't click on them.

I look at and read both CNN and Fox News. Both can be a bit ragged at times. Same is true of the happy paper and village online news. Well, maybe not the happy paper being dirty.

There sure seems to be a lot of very unhappy people living here . And the volume of complaints never slow down they are constant .

If I were reading this site from up North and thinking of visiting here to check it out I might well decide otherwise .

Major reason would be all of the negatives about the Development Company . Based on what I would read from afar the Development Company is constantly abusing the folks that purchased homes from them .

Sort of like the old days when people worked in a coal mine and lived in company owned homes and had to purchase everything from the company store .

It all just sounds terrible and like an awful place to live .

Once upon a time during what was a spate of criminal/suspicious activity in TV, several posters on TOTV promised to be in contact with local police for updates on such activity and to share that police information here in the forums.

It never happened! The on-line news more than fills that need/desire now.

Never said they make me "crazy". If they did, I wouldn't read.

I agree TOTV very often slams TV as well.

I don't go on the political. Who cares what "anonymous" has to say?

That is what is upsetting to me too. I am a person who lives here and I am very proud of my choice to live here. I am blessed with so many good experiences that I never dreamed I would have in the fall of my life. I have friends who are much younger and friends who are much older and I have the time to paint and draw in a magnificent building with people far more talented than me that are very nice and helpful. I can play golf as much as I want as I watch my golf game go down the tubes. I can brag about my grandchildren if I allow others to brag about theirs. I am spending day after day in a lovely home with two people I love in a community of decent, law abiding folks with many similar views and interests.

I agree. Too much negativity about TV. But.........I don't care what anyone says....this place IS changing.

I should have added. I think the changes have a lot to do with the fact that it's growing too fast. Way too crowded.

It does sound horrid. The Kansas City Star is doing a series on HOAs that makes this company town look angelic.

A piece of advice originally suggested to me for online reviews (e.g., Amazon) that also applies here: Skim the unrealistically gushing and negative information and focus on the content that actually provides useful information.

Seriously? I guess you don't read the comments on the letters. I wasn't referring to the letters themselves, just the comments. Four same people every day. The most ridiculous is Oppenheimer, or something like that.
