I think I will try to make my own again, nut this time use one that MrPrez posted.
The toughest part is finding a good recipe. Well, that and keeping your spoon out of the mix as it goes round and round.

Another method uses a Mason jar. Check on YouTube for this method. I haven’t tried this yet but everyone says it is good.

There is an ice cream shop in brownswood that has no sugar added ice cream. You have to ask for it because it isn't in the normal ice cream counter. They have several flavors.

Haha. I might not finish making if I did that with the spoon. It would all be gone. My favorite ice cream is Chocolate raspberry. Do they grow sugar free raspberry? ;-)

Do you and/or your wife have a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer? The kind that has the lever to lift the bowl up and down, not the tilt-head kind. If so, I have the ice cream maker attachment to that mixer, and I would be happy to lend it to you for a trial run.

Ours is the tilt back kind, and we have a vita mix, but I don't think that will work either - It MIGHT make it really really fast - LOL

I am considering that one mentioned earlier. I need to figureout some diabetic friendly recipies, just sigar free isn't good enough, it has to be low glycenic index carbs also. Sigh.

If you’d like to borrow ours for a trial, you are welcome to do so. No bother at all.

As a diabetic, MILK (DAIRY) CREAM, IS A NO NO So , when looking for ice cream its NON Dairy or Lactose free ... plenty to choose from. That is where you start... then look for low to no sugar added. As for Yogurt...(milk product) go for Almond Milk Yogurt, etc. I buy Lactose Free Milk, same taste as Milk, they just took the Lactose out of it. yummm Also, just a thought, Lemon Slush.... yup.... freeze Lemon aide (sugar free) and put in blender... or Almond Milk Yogurt...freeze (15 minutes) its not totally frozen but like a soft serve... add your own flavorings. it will satisfy your ice cream fix. and its pretty darn good.
