You have my sympathy.
We lost our dog this past summer, he would have been 16 years old this month. We thought that we would never get another dog. My husband and I took Henry's things to the Humane Society and donated everything. My husband said we should at least look at the dogs and we filled out an application for a two year old dog that was found wandering The Villages. She is so loyal and it was meant to be that she found a home with us. I still miss our Henry but having Sadie here has really helped. I think that Henry would be happy that we rescued another just like we rescued him.

We have looked several times for this little dog and have not seen him. I hope that he is safe. We drove around Westchester Way and talked to people out walking dogs and nobody that we talked with has seen the dog.

Something good has happened to that pup. Not everyone reads this forum. It has all happened without our knowledge, but that little guy is snuggled up close to someone who loves him right this minute.

Even if it is across a rainbow bridge.

Amen.

I'm going to believe that--what Gracie said. The little dog had a happy ending.

I choose to believe the same thing. Now I can stop watching this thread.

Gracie, I hope you are right. I have 2 shelties and could not imagine how I would cope if they were lost. I will continue to watch for the pup in Poinciana. I hope if anyone knows what happened, they will post.

Am I the only one missing something here?

We still do not really know what happened to that dog. GG is surmising that MAYBE someone found the dog it or it is dead and is at the Rainbow bridge which is where pets go after they pass away and wait for their owners to join them.

The thread went in this direction after post #70 was made. We prefer to believe something good happened to the pup, rather than what was stated in that post.

People should definitely keep any eye out for it in case it survived over this probably very rough week for the pooch.

I keep thinking of those poor girls in Cleveland who were locked in that madman's house for all those years. Many had given up hope on those girls. Well, they were found alive! Please don't fantasize about this dog's whereabouts. This is real and that little dog may still be in need of our help. Continue to keep a watchful eye.
