why is it "my" junk mail? I didn't ask for it.
Because someone I don't know put my name on it?

if I put your name and address on a bag of junk, does it become "your" junk?

Obviously the simple solution is to have a larger capacity for junk mail at the mailbox station.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Then tell us all what the trash cans at the postal stations are for?

The highest percentage are people usually coming from their home so they probably won’t have food or drink to throw away, so what are they put there for? It’s not an over abundance of dog poop being put in there, like one dog hater alluded to.

Waiting….

I agree. Junk mail keeps the postal service going. If anyone cares, we , the USPS, still have the cheapest rates any where around.

Beer cans from all the painters working in TV. Yes they drink beer while working. The paint smell makes them want to drink beer especially when they are spraying lacquer.

doing anything in the Florida sun is likely to make a person want to drink a beer. Or two.

Trash! And some say there are no stupid questions.

A lot of folks visit the stations, not only to pick up their mail, but to make use of the amenities that are usually found there as well. Workers visit for many reasons as well. All may have trash to discard. As stated in an earlier post, if we all sorted mail and packages at the stations, it would probably require a dumpster to adequately hold all the trash. Personally, I prefer to pick up my mail and leave and sort it at my leisure at home as opposed to trying to sort in the heat, wind or rain.

Perhaps it was on page 43, paragraph 4 line 2 of the paperwork signed when we bought our house here.

Nor sure why but around the time COVID hit, they took away one of our two trash cans at the mail center.

They are called trash cans for a reason,
and I personally consider junk mail,
one of the more insidious forms of trash!
