If I'm tying up a sales associate for a long period of time and somebody is just looking for an aisle location or picking up a ready order I ask the associate to help them and come back to me. I can busy myself for a minute or two especially if I am at the two hour mark. In fact, we probably both need a break.

Indy - I think it was done by the moderator at the request of a poster.

That is too bad because I saw those three old ladies and they were wearing their Villages Tattoos!

"the customer is always right"
I'd hate to have a job with that motto, working anywhere.
If you worked in retail before you retired I wonder if you see things differently about customer service then those of who didn't.

I worked directly with the public in a doughnut shop in high school. I wish I'd had the nerve to take aim with a few doughnut holes.

If nothing else, it taught me to be a polite customer. (And to absolutely hate the smell of doughnuts.)

Did you recognize the specific tattoos? I'd hate for any rash assumptions to be made.

So I walk toward the back of the store and can't find them. I come to a place where it looks like they might cut fabics or do some kind of work. There are three associates chatting. I stand there looking at them and they just keep talking. They each looked right at me and just kept on with their conversation. Finally, I spoke up and said, "Excuse me. Where are the buttons." They looked at me with expressions on their faces that told me they had no idea. They looked astounded that a customer asked them a question. Finally, one of them spoke up and said, "I think their about three aisles down on the right."

We went in that general direction and found the buttons.

You encountered rude customers, I encountered rude useless sales people.
And then some store manager will come along and decide they don't need that many sales associates since they are standing around talking, and lay two of them off.

Actually posters can edit their title as I did one just now to check for sure as I had done this before. After you click edit and the screen comes up, then click Go Advanced again to edit the title.

If you cannot the account may not be set up completely..

My failing memory cells come and go. I remember now that the title I once tried to change, and could not, was the one that used to show up in the old classifieds.
