After all, the o.p. from ~ a month ago gave enough of a direction that people could find the home if they wished. After all, that's how I was able to find it.

I appreciate that you address that specific issue (street address) the way you have. If that was the thing that made everyone attack me, it would have been nice if someone had addressed the issue (street address) in specifics, like you have. I have no problem admitting when I've made a mistake.

And, for those who wondered why I drove by this home, and so early in my vacation. It was something I planned to do while down here, after having read of the issue ~ one month ago. The first couple days I'm down here, that's all I do is ride around on the cart because I have to give some time for ankle swelling (from the flight) to go down, before I can spend a lot of time on my feet, golfing. So, I made the trip part of my ride.

This will be my last word on the topic. Those who want to continue to attack can. I don't and won't value your opinion anyway, and you're free to feel the same about me.

I certainly understand your concern over enforcement of restrictions...deciding about where to invest our hard earned dollars for hopefully our last home while we enjoy our retirements is not something that should be taken lightly. You have every right to be concerned about the enforcement (or lack thereof) of these provisions and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

As far as publishing the address, it was a mistake, but I'm old enough to know that everyone on this (including me!) has made a mistake at one time or another. It's been removed and now hopefully all involved can have civil discussions about this issue.

Boy Howdy.

Bogie is honest, to the point, well researched and a nice person. EVERYONE is asking questions on this thread..

I just drove by it and it is not unkempt It is very well kept. The only restrictions that I think could be broached are artificial sod in one area, and a water fountain and a bench NOT under the eaves. They are allowed under the overhang of your roof.

What is so....dramatic is the bright red stones in the planting areas and the edging of the planting areas. There is a LOT of edging.

But to get to this house and surrounding this house are dozens, hundreds, thousands of homes that are perfectly in compliance. My guess is that the neighbors like these people and don't want to hurt their feelers.

Default Drove by also

I took a drive by also to take a look today. I noticed other people slowing down to look also. I saw at least three houses on that street that didn't match my personal tastes and all had possible deed restriction violations. I think people do have the right to ask questions. I don't think anyone should be attacked on this forum. Bogie did a great job of listing the proper authorites to take the matter up with. Do we know if some one has done that? Is someone going to do that? Are we positive that for that address there are specific deed restictions that have been violated? Is every house on that street that has deed restriction violations all going to be reported? I'm hoping we keep a moderation of what needs to be reported and what does not. If we start a witch hunt for every little deed restriction we may not be able to keep the title of the "friendliest" community. I know of someone who lives here that gets turned in for even the tiniest of issues and that does not bode well. Time for Bogie to take a bow now!

Why do we need to keep a moderation of what needs to be reported and what does not.
and who determines what is moderate - one pink flamingo or twenty flamingos I will report every violation I see - I dont really care if this is most friendly town - I do care about my quality of life thank you

I think the harm is evident, if you go back and read the previous 58 posts!

There does not seem to be a grammar police on TOTV that I know of anyway.

Could we call this group "the pink flamingo brigade"? How about "the garden gnome commandos?" Or, "the garden troll tweeters"?
